Matt Shaw played about 150 more innings at 3rd base than at 2nd and shortstop combined this past year, and between Christopher Morel and Isaac Paredes, they produced 0.5 WAR in 510 plate appearance for the Cubs at 3rd base. It isn't 2nd base I'd worry about for Shaw, it's 3rd base.

news on Arenado in the STL area is…. of the 4 no trade clause players in STL…2 were stated to have already said no way we're leaving, we're staying in STL…but those two were Contreras and Sonny. The other two guys were left out of the discussion, leading many of us to believe because those 2 guys actually want to possibly leave and have told the admin to fish around, those two are Arenado and Mikolas.

As a cubs fan i would not want to see Nico Hoerner get traded quite yet and would much rather see Issac Paredes get moved to another team so that we can call up Shaw to play third base and not only that with Nico's injury not sure how likely it would be for him to get traded quite yet and likewise I need to see Moisés Ballesteros come up as well because I just have very little faith in Miguel Amaya's defense as a catcher
