Such an amazing machine! I can't wait to buy a BMW like my father always had. Until he stopped riding at age 80 a couple of years ago, he last owned a his second BMW K1600 GTL. Even in his last year of riding at age 80, he rode that bike with no problems... Even with me on the back weighing 190 pounds. He only stopped riding a couple of months after being diagnosed with Luekemia... Unfortunately, he became a lot weaker, so he sold it. He rode motorcycles from age 15 to 80! He's still alive, just a lot thinner. Anyway, I'm torn between a 2020+ S1000RR, a 2022+ S1000R, a 2018+ K1600GT, or even a 2020+ R 1250 RS... My father also owned a 2015 BMW K1300S Sport Bike with his K1600 GTL... I'd consider a low mile & mint 2015-2016 K1300S myself. This decision will be made by next spring. I'll subscribe after this comment. Safe travels, -Chris

Following a recent off I had to ‘untwist’ my forks (quite easy to do). I managed to remove upper fairing with upper black panel in one avoiding the need to remove BMW badge.

Where did you purchase the block off with the BMW sign for the undertail?

I just added that to the description. Here is it: www.shopbmwmotorcycle.com/products/bmw-motorcycles-s1000rr-20-m-race-cover-kit

I bought it from a company called fastbikesusa.com. But they don’t seem to be in existence any more. Sorry.

So you don’t have any brake lights on since removing the fender?
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Жыл бұрын
It’s a track only bike.

Are they reliable bikes ? I’m thinking about getting the 2023 s1000rr with M
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Жыл бұрын
I've had no issues yet. Mechanically perfect thus far, relatively easy to remove the fairings and work on the bike, plenty of accessories and spare parts available, and many BMW dealers across the country in case you need service/warranty work done by them.

Did you remove the factory exhaust DB killer?
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes3 ай бұрын
Good question. I can't remember if it comes with a removable baffle...but if it does, I likely removed it.

Hello my brother .my i ask where did you get gilles Tooling rear passenger set 5:07
Do you mount a license plate ? Love the undertail but just curious about the plate
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Жыл бұрын
No license plates because this is 100% track bike. I would use the New Rage Cycles (NRC) brake light and turn signals kit if I needed license plates.

Flawless thus far.

Have you had the ecu mapped. Was thinking of the same headers for mine
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes Жыл бұрын
Bren Tune Stage 1 is the preferred choice of most riders.

"this bike is the easiest bike to work on" You say that after replacing the headers? Those things were a pain in the ass
@brilliantspeedsuperbikes11 ай бұрын
I've done headers on 3 BMW S1000RRs...piece of cake compared to doing a full system on a Ducati Panigale or Streetfighter V4S. I guess it's all relative.

@@brilliantspeedsuperbikes not difficult, just time consuming. Def much easier bikes lol
