“never tell your friends your plans”. I’ve practiced this the last 15 years and it’s been priceless. I don’t even tell my family what I’m doing until it’s done. In my experience your friends are only your friends as long as you stay in the lane and level they want you in. The same goes for most of your family. The only people I’m loyal to are my wife and kids. Everyone else can either get on or get the fuck out of the way.

I thought it was wasted time but it has been a learning experience+!!!+ What we have been taught over the years does hold us back sometimes when what we are working on is outside the box or looked at as radical thinking when really it was just different & some judge harshly what they don't understand+!!!+ If we are to move forward, our minds have to be open to the possibilities that can come from new ideas as long as these ideas can help many & not just help a certain few get rich

"... some people secretly want you to fail." I've definitely felt this from people I thought actually cared. They're friendly to your face but their actions drag you down. It's usually subtle and easy to write off but the cumulative effect is huge. Important to nip it in the bud before they become too embedded in your life and do real damage. It's like they dig in to gain leverage and once they've got a certain grip they manipulate to the max. Straight poison

@@WinChun78 interesting.... My brother is about to play guitar in public for the first time. I mentioned he might consider playing just a bit under his perceived ability- relax and realize the audience may relax a bit with him and would probably enjoy his playing more than if he was struggling to "be his best self". Not sure the advice was good but perhaps relates to the quote in question.

Oh how I wish I could have known about this channel! It's words are like what's happening in my life at this point. In 2018 when my husband was alive he came into allot of money (a inheritance). He wasn't doing well and yet all he wanted was us to share with whoever was in need including family. We were supposed to move to Montana and live on my daughter's property so we sent her and her husband money to buy our place. Then tragically right before we were supposed to move my husband died September 19th 2019. They refused to give me anything back and told people that I told them to just keep it. Anyway it's been four years next month he's been gone and I've been living alone just getting by myself. I'm 65 and there's been no one in my life but our animals and it's like I'm wondering if it's not too late to try and start over. Some people have been telling me what I should and shouldn't do because they think they're better than me. Well somehow someway I'm going to get through this

Many years ago I took a low level job in the U.K. Probation service. I told my manager that I was hoping to take the council sponsored training to be a Probation Officer. She turned into a nightmare, undercutting me at every opportunity. Negative reports, backstabbing etc. I had been warned about her by others but chose to find out for myself. I certainly found out……. Once I’d given my notice and prepared to leave it was pointed out to me that she had previously applied for the same training I was hoping to go for. She was turned down as unsuitable. Should have kept that one to myself!I I went on to qualify and practice in immigration law, and run my own company.

Wow you have just described my experience also with the Probation Service but in NZ. Backstabbing and complaining. She managed to get the power people so worked up about me that they would meet and discuss ways to get rid of me. Turned out that she had applied for the same PO job I got and I had a qualification. Really nasty little feline. Is it just women or do men engage in this sort of stuff too. Always found men to be very laid back managers while women want to constantly micro-manage you.

I am only 36 and I agree with most of these laws except for 34: I've witnessed many people who slave away to become rich and they have no time for anything but work and they sacrifice friends and family and end up alone and depressed. 39 seems like something a mother would tell her child, patience is good but sometimes the things you want simply aren't meant for you. 53 is the same as 39 you can work really hard at anything and still fail, expecting to get luckier for working hard doesn't make logical sense to me. 65 is probably the best law on the list to me, learning to control anger made me much stronger, I know many elderly people who never learned this law.

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

My personal favorite quote is my own "don't be one of the sheep". If I had followed the sheep I would still be broke today. I left my home with nothing more than a high school education and a bit of knowledge on how to work on cars. I took my high school diploma and got a job as a grease monkey. My coworkers we're always buying new cars, boats, motorhomes and taking expensive vacations. Me on the other hand, I put my money into investment real estate here in one of the most expensive places in the country, California and retired early. I don't worry about the price of gasoline or the price of food. And a side benefit is that it gives me the ability to help others. So my advice to anyone is don't be one of the sheep, just because everyone is doing something doesn't mean you need to follow their path.
