On the note about "There's nothing that lets us look at the deck", we one it's the PokeDex, it allows us to look at the top 3 of the deck

Great ball is all we need to shake the meta. Make it so we can only bring two pokeball of any type, say one pokeball and one great ball. Also for the starting hands problem, imo they should just set it so every player will start with 2 basic, 2 items and 1 supporter card every single time. Will give everyone a better fighting chance instead of losing 1-0 bcs no 2nd basic or pokeball showed up early on.
