@ The actual game being absolute garbage is a pretty big flaw if you ask me lmao.
@GiuseppeGaetanoSabatelliАй бұрын
Of the many flaws, the three worst are: 1. Skipping your energy drop turn one. Imagine playing Magic: the Gathering and always being forced to keep a no-lander. Lmfao 2. No mulligans. Literally every game becomes a coin flip until they put hand filtering/duplication Trainers in the game like Pokémon Trader or Item Finder. The fact that instead they decided to put only disruption trainers in the inaugural set (Sabrina, Red Card) is kinda gross. No color fixing Trainers, which leads me to the next point: 3. Monocolor is too consistent/Multi-color is impossible. Literally the only "Splashable" Pokémon is Ducklet/Swanna, and they're way undertuned because of this. Even if you run light color requirements like Tentacruel, etc., it's just impossible to run a splash compared to monocolor beaters. And in Magic and paper Pokémon, if I ran a splash, I could run something like a 2:1 or 3:1 split on my Lands/Energy. But in this game, it's a coinflip. If an "Energy Search" or "Prismatic Lens" was in the game, you could run Dragonite line in Mono-Water or Mono-Lightning and support the splash. Or if you could simply choose the ratio. Or have it be based on what's in play/hand so you don't get coinflipped and stuck on 3 lightning energy in a row while your Starmie dries up. Lmfao
@XeyyakkennАй бұрын
@@GiuseppeGaetanoSabatellidual energy works for specific decks, where the pokemon doesn't need more than 1 of a specific type of energy to function, like Alakazam Weezing, for example.
@UndertaleFan32Ай бұрын
@@Xeyyakkenn but you still need luck. Today I played against my friend who was using a Dragonite deck and he got 4 consecutive water energies, meaning that he couldn't attack with his dragonite that he already had set up (the fifth energy was a lightning one, but by then it was already too late). Instead of it being random, it should be constantly alternating between the types of energy you get, for example: if you have lightning and water energy and the first energy you get is water, then the second one should be lightning, the third one is water again,... This way it would be way easier to make decks with multiple types of energy and it would be less luck-based.

The problem with putting low number of Pokemon in my deck is, that my starting hand seems to be almost always: 1 basic Pokemon, 2 Sabrinas, and 2 Giovannis.
@stevenleonmusic19 күн бұрын
Replace Giovanni maybe? The +10 damage can come in clutch but it can also be useless since you'd 2HKO or 1HKO regardless. Blue is actually more valuable because if your starting hand sucks but you get potions and/or Blue then you can keep your 1 basic pokemon alive longer and stall while you draw more cards.

Red card is "good" because you can ruin the opponent's long term strategy. The problem is most players dump their hand and have less than 3 cards after turn 1. Which means if you play the card and the opponent has less than 3 cards. You just gave the opponent free (hand) card advantage, ON TOP of losing hand advantage by playing the card. The card is worse to use the smaller the enemy's hand is

I think it's the kind of card that gets more useful the more experience you have, when you know exactly when to use it
@06dogb2 ай бұрын
I can't believe people still use it. Almost every game someone uses red card against me and 90% of the time I end up with a better hand or similar one. Ending up with a worse hand is so rare for me. I'd never play red card without scope with how easy it is to hand your opponent the edge. That's why I don't play it, no room for card + scope And I wouldn't play it without knowing their hand because it'd likely give them an advantage as it does for me.

in the articuno deck, I'd replace one of those pokeballs with a pokedex, mostly because if you're guaranteed to draw a basic on turn 1, the second pokeball in your hand can't do anything
@thebabbons15542 ай бұрын
But does pokedex (dead draw) do anything apart from telling you whether you have to concede or not? Like, cool, I know what I am drawing, so what? Articuno is fun and I play it, but it requires no planning ahead. The second ball is a dead draw? Sure. But 70% of the deck is a dead draw once you are set up in this deck. I'd rather maximize the chance to see 1 than to look at 3 cards (which are probably dead draws anyway)

Fossils are critical for a Charizard EX deck. The game doesn't see them as basic pokemon, so it will continue to roll your initial hand until it sees either Charmander or Moltres EX or a combination of both. And yes, fossils make the Charizard EX deck a lot more Sabrina resilient, which is critical for evolutions. Fossils are one of the most important items behind Poke Balls. They are THAT good.
