misinformation correction: Starry soda is NOT a renaming of Sprite. Starry was conceived as a new, "better" soda than Sierra Mist as it was discontinued. In addition, Starry also is a reformulation and not just a renaming, with the main difference being the replacement of cane sugar (yay!) with high fructose corn syrup (boo!). It is fairly clear that Starry is simply a rebrand to disguise a drop in quality to increase profit margins. RIP Sierra, you will be mist. Sprite is still available on the market.

hey mattman have some Starry lore since you mentioned it around downpour ii Starry was orginally a soda called Sierra Mist, however due competition with sprite and 7-up as stiff as a stick in the mud, it didn’t sell too well outside of some chunks of california maybe sorta highly doubt it since i’ve only seen it at a jollibee anyways more recently (like 2020s era, The Rawring 20s some may say) they rebranded to Starry to make it sell better (it probably did), which brings us to today
