The trinket is not *really* a Guppy item. Giving Guppy progress is the actual effect of the trinket. If the trinket were *also* a guppy item then it would give 2/3. No trinket passively promotes transformations.

Similar thing with the seraphim transformation: the Lost starts with Holy Mantle if you give enough money to the greed machine meaning he can get the transformation slightly faster, but it’s useless because 1. He already has flight 2. He has no health Edit: apparently lost’s mantle doesn’t contribute to the seraphim count

I think Spun's biggest strength is how easy it is to get. The fact that syringes already give stats means that getting spun will carry you for a while in terms of stats. I feel like I get it a lot more than Beelzebub at least. Also Oh Crap is generally stinky (as you would expect) but i have a soft spot for it because it has very niche game break potential

I once got 3 guppy pieces in one room. The runthat i got that in was horrible, I got 1 stat up. But i randomely bought hive mind in a shop the floor before the guppy one. I won that run by simply guppy + Hive Mind

Guppy’s paw, tail, and dead cat are all obtainable through red chests as far as I’m aware. Hell I even got guppy’s head through a red chest once.

My thoughts on how to make some anti pog transformations better Funguy- on hit or rare chance on fire, unleash a fart that mucers an enemy, and all other farts have the same effect Bob- gives a stackable aquarius copy and poison immunity and tears Oh crap- keep the current effect with a small chance to get a random heart, on enemy kill spawn a poop with a small chance for a random poop to spawn, poops take one shot, and get larger farts Spider baby- mulligan but spider Stompy- gives current effect, you can open secret rooms, and you are immune to rock/mush effects

The issue with giving beelzebub a 2/4 likelihood is that the vast majority of items that give beezlebub transformation are quality 1 or 2 and with it being obtained from an item pool you're (basically) garanteed to take multiple items from, it always ends up feeling much more common

I actually got super bum recently on one of my runs, sadly though it was on Void so I didn't get much value out of it but he's a kinda crazy little guy honestly. Plus, he has a super cool animation that plays when you get the transformation.

Leviathan has an advantage where you can take more devil deals that you can handle, because the transformation itself won't let you die and give you 2 more hearts It's always really satisfying when I wouldn't be able to take the Brimstone with just 1 soul heart, just for the Brimstone to give me the transformation wtih 1 more heart to have

I have 1300 hours in the game and I'm about to get the third dead god and I got the Super Bum only *once* and was in a breaking run that took 2 hours when Tainted Cain wasn't patch yet

All bums are available in the Item room pool and their respective bum's pools as well. They can also be acquired through Soul of Lilith. Additionally, key bum is available in the secret room pool and dark bum can be received through cambion conception or purchased in the devil room. So likelihood should be something like 0.1

Nah guppy should be like 4/5 likelihood they are like half of the red chest item pool and a big chunk of the curse room item pool so it's pretty easy to rig chaos voodoo head goat head by themselves can secure it or guppies tail (a guppy item) the makes chest spawn way more often with left hand a trinket that make them all red chest.

Some ideas to improve the lesser useful transformations: Bob- add immunity to explosions Adult- add 0.25 damage mult, add speed down effect Spider baby- spider does damage to enemy, add moms wig effect that can stack chance with moms wig Funguy- increase chance to get items from mushrooms, destroying mushrooms heal 1/2 heart Oh crap- poop enemies are friendly including poop themed bosses ( tell me that wouldnt be fun) Stompy- ???

I think Beezlebub may be the easiest transformation to get in the game behind Yes, Mother, it easily should be rank 3. A lot of the items are in the shop item pool, and skatole you can get by playing shell games in arcades. If you get one beezlebub item in a treasure pool, you can try to force it the same way you do guppy by checking shop items (which you can very often reroll for what you want) and by playing a shell game. Way more consistent to get imo than like, basically anything besides yes, mother which i get all the time on accident.

I also think you overrate spun a little. The damage up is super nice of course, but flight is amazing. I think flight is generally better, but i would rate spun's damage slightly higher because there are a lot of ways to get flight and you only need it once. 3.5 usefullness imo

Dark Bum is also in the Treasure Room pool, so there is a non-zero chance that you can boot up a run and get Super Bum fron three consecutive treasure rooms and i think thats the ultimate jackpot you can get in isaac

Beelzebub is definitely more likely than Guppy. Skatole, even though its a bad item, is extremely easy to get from the Shell game, and there's several fly items in the shop, plus you can get the plum flute every time you encounter Baby Plum (who you encounter early into the run so you can better gauge whether you want to go out of your way beelzebub). But having reliable ways to get at least 2/3 pieces of a transformation makes it significantly more common than Guppy imo, even if you won't run in to Baby Plum every time. If you want Beelzebub its probably the easiest transformation to "force" in to your run. The question of whether its worth it to go out of your way for just flight and sacrifice at least 1 boss pool item and however many coins in the process is up to you, but its very easy to get.

I rolled a d100 into super bun once and its actually pretty bad as most rewards will give you chests with money and keys inside that he will immediately just eat again or will give you golden chests that you wont have the keys to open since he eats your keys. Its only useful because dark bum is broken but both key bun and bum friend are just plain bad.

imo leviatan>seraphim. This gives you 2 black hearts, so if you can't afford the item in the devil's room, you can still buy it if it's the third transformation item. Additionally, if you go to the angel's rooms you usually have a lot of health, so these 3 additional soul hearts do not matter that much

Imo leviathan is significantly better than what people think. It is the easiest flight transformation to obtain (although you'll likely have flight through the items for leviathan), and flight has way more value the earlier you get it. It also allows for underpriced devil deals by granting you soul hearts or just provides an extra safety net cuz you are taking devil deals. In comparison, getting seraphim usually means it's already a won run, but getting leviathan might just save a run.
