I feel so much better with the irons, im probably shizo, but the red dot is actually slightly above where the middle of the screen is while shooting. I also feel like the screen shakes more with the red dot.

The new look of the FCAR’s holographic sight is so much nicer compared to before. It offers a significantly better field of view and is great to use. There’s no doubt, the holographic is far superior to iron sights, especially for long-range shots. As for me, the FCAR is my top choice for the start of this Season 4 as a Medium player.

Yea, after the hype for the new weapon dissipates. You’re going to see this weapon jump into the meta out of nowhere. It’s way too consistent now, not too. Which is awesome because now players have a close to mid range choice other than the 1887.

I feel like eventually way down the line, we should normalize these guns so all of them start without a scope, then you can buy the scope or red dot for 800 and then maybe add really cool other high tech sights. But no matter what, Embark should copy what Apex has done for their colorblind options and reticles. Actually, I think that's about the only thing anyone should take from apex ever

A great suggestion I saw for the fcar is lower the rate of fire but reduce the recoil and maybe increase the DMG to keep the same dpa. This will allow the car to be that precision weapon and give it an identity vs the akm

I get where you’re coming from, it’s that way for the FCAR and AKM. I’ll always prefer the FCAR because it simply feels better to me. Regardless of stats it’s just sometimes up to feel and preference. If it works better without the site, I’d just use that. Personally if there is a more optimal option, but feels like crap to use I just won’t use it.

Sniper changes aren’t bad but they should make it only drop off at a slightly further range… and as for the shotguns the only thing I think would be needed is a little range nerf

The akm ammo nerf is way more significant than people think, before it used to be the noob friendly multikill gun It used to do 720 dmg per mag now does 640 that’s bigger than people think I actually prefer iron sight with it aswell since the red dot to me atleast has more visible recoil. I prefer akm with iron sights and 36 bullets for sure

It sure is pretty hefty, but yea you gotta use what feels good at the end of the day. I prefer the FCAR regardless of the nerfs because it just feels the best for me.

@@HazedNConfused yea definitely has more range than the ak aswell, plus the mag sizes are comparable now so I’d prefer the quicker reload Like I stated before the aim was the perfect multikill weapon now that niche is gone so quicker reload and more range is definitely better, the pike is definitely busted and I hope it gets a rate of fire nerf at the very least so it’s not so busted even in close ranges. I hope the next weapon medium gets is a smg and I hope they put the akm back to 36 ammo or even more, I wouldn’t even mind them nerfing the dmg to 19 to compensate. Rn the weapon is definitely overrated for what its actual value is and I’d take any rifle over it rn

Fcar does 550 per mag which is also decent for even noobs compared to its old 500 dmg per mag plus it takes 1 less bullet to kill a light which is huge for noob players as tracking can be difficult so even if the ttka are similar and actually leans into the akms favour when you have mediums sniping across map with pikes out of all the guns that become irrelevant its the akm

I found a way for myself to deal with the big recoil jump on bullet 5 of the FCAR, which feels very easy and consistently working. I fire the first 5 bullets from the hip and from there I aim down sight while controlling a little bit of vertical recoil. If possible, crouched hip fire, as this is even more accurate than hip fire from a standing position, which is already good. It is an insane difference to ADS first and then starting to shoot. Feels literaly like I'm skipping the hard recoil and deal only with the easy one 🤷‍♂

I have playing around and i agree that the Fcar IS dont help, i found and thisnis probaly because i have mained the AKM onbmy support medium for 4 seasons but the iron sights are still easier for me and the red dot blends in with the environment too much.

5:54 if you really do want to make a 'masterclass' for the .357 you're not really starting out with the right idea. It shouldn't be treated like a sniper just because it has a red-dot now. The damage fall-off at range is still one of it's biggest hindrances. As someone who has mained revolver medium since the beta, I can confidently say that this weapon will remain overlooked and misunderstood after this change. I'm glad the red-dot is helping casual users to hit their shots, but if you are confident in your aim and control with the .357 I do think the irons are better overall for short-medium range gunfights and for holding angles with a wider FOV. I haven't been able to find proof that red-dots reduce ADS time, but if they do, that's just another reason not to use them. The .357 shines brightest when used in a movement build (Demat, Zip, Pad) and you have to be able to rely on a fast ADS to snap onto heads when moving in and out of cover. I really really do not mean to shoot down your enthusiasm for this change, and I really do think you should learn to master it because it is extremely rewarding to get good with, but I think it is important to clarify that this is not a marksman weapon, and if that is the playstyle you are looking for, the pike and model do it better every time.

I see where your coming and I have put my due diligence as well as time with the weapon. Now with that being, I have quite literally illustrated exactly what your saying in the masterclass that I have already made for the weapon. Maybe I should of been more clear about it, but when players utilize a sniper with a red dot rather than a scope, is to be able to be more proficient at close to mid range 5-30 meters. As you said you think the red dots is not as good as the iron sights, however that is more than likely a preference and not a testament to the weapons actual performance. The other possibility is that the weapon like I said before plays differently when you attach a sight to it, that is likely why you don't prefer it. When the red dot is set, it provides accuracy that can consistently and reliably hit headshots. Now is it easier to hit shots back to back with the revolver's iron sights, yes absolutely, but will the all lead to a clear head shot, no some won't. One site relies on pacing because of visual clutter (iron site) and the other relies on absolute precision (red dot). Lastly, if you don't want to be rude, try not to assume things.

That’s not the point, it’s to give the weapon a unique trait because the AKM is way to similar in difficulty making both weapons easy and one losing its unique trait of precision while the other exceeds it in performance in nearly every aspect.
