I want the 3 way fold with the display outside. I would love to have a device which is a phone when I'm on the go and becomes a tablet when I need it. The current fold is amazing, but the unfolded aspect ratio is not good for media and gaming, if it can unfold to a 16 by 9 or even 21 by 9, it would be the best mobile device ever.

The tri-folding S model seems most intriguing if it has a back panel in one of the folds so one can use it on-the-go without opening it. Ideally a folding phone would be able to replace both smartphone & tablet simultaneously.

@@mrmurray4374 thanks for the advice. I got the flip 4 a few months ago and it is still holding together after a couple drops. It's not like I can return it. I try to take care of it but I already knew the repair costs would be high. Most phone manufacturers will charge a lot for repairs. I will have to change things like the screen myself when it breaks. It was a good deal because I only paid a few hundred upgrading my oukitel K12 to the flip 4. I feel bad for one of my friends. Her flip 4 screen broke randomly one day. Probably going to happen to me too within a year or two.

Yes yes yes, but we are small timing. We need a phone that: • Doesn't run out of battery until it breaks. •Shock proof, waterproof • It can fly and follow the owner, taking pictures or play music while they walk. • Its oragami. Full tablet sized screen, that comes from a small square or circle. • 5 TB internal storage with external as well (in case you want to download the internet). Also, this goes to everyone... free

Check out the Honour Magic V. That has the aspect ratio sorted out. It's the best foldable hands down atm, but sadly only available in China. I believe you're able to buy them online still but it would be a lot of faffing around, I imagine. Check it out if you haven't. Also has the sleekest design. Not biased either, I don't know much about Honour. Just that their foldable is amazing. I imagine it's a prototype they're testing in China. Their second drop will be amazing.

I'm looking forward for "Flex S" but I think it would be better if Samsung will attach built in laser keyboard on it. It would be more convenient for someone (like me) who likes to be productive but less hassle on what to bring. I mean, come on! Who would not love a device that is as productive as laptops/computer can do and gives the same feeling because of its "nearly the same" screen size but more advance and more convenient on just a hand.
@maximusstorm1215
@maximusstorm1215 2 жыл бұрын
Just connect a Bluetooth keyboard to it and put plenty of adhesive, grippy pads on the bottom so it stays put and doesn't scratch your device. Go for a slim one too. Then, whenever you wanna use it like a laptop, place the keyboard on top of the screen you wished it actually were. You can also get very slim, foldable keyboards that are much more portable. Besides, I can't imagine it won't have a feature to be used like a laptop considering it more or less is one.

The polarizer was not simply added to the screen, the additional layer was there before too, but it is now rather integrated in the Eco OLED instead of simply adding it as a new layer. I think your explanation is a bit misleading the way you quickly described this innovation.

The screen ratios wouldnt be as square as the single folding screens (like zenbook fold 17), so, even more screen for playing videos in standard 16:9. And also if you incorporate a magnetic keyboard on the back of one the folded parts it becomes a 12 inch laptop

First, practical portability. It’s being used outdoors so a placed in bag that could carry a 9x12 notebook or folder (8.5x11 papers) is small enough. I can’t imagine being outside and opening a 17” display, for that size i will be home with my desktop. 13” is very adequate. Rain resistance. S-pen or better utility. Dual operating systems, mobile plus a real os capable. Folded dimension is not as important as it’s open dimension for video viewing (4:3).

It's absolutely insane how they continue to push this gimmick, I've literally not seen one person in real life with one or met anyone with any interest in getting one. Why on earth anyone wants their screen to fold over is absolutely beyond me, phones are as convenient as they can get current day. They're big enough to watch movies and game without being a significant encumbrance and the lack of moving parts makes them incredibly utilitarian. Good inventions are born out of necessity and sadly I just don't see how folding your phone over is a necessity at all. If it's not broken don't fix it.

@@ironfistovwudang3485 it's a gimmick until you use it lol you'd see how much more convenient it is to carry one device for everything although its cool i dont see much use in the z flip

I'd love to have a clamshell phone with solid buttons to press and good protection from the closed shell. Here I am today, mistyping almost every word with my stubby fingers (so much correcting to do) and peering at a tiny screen image because my almost useless keyboard occupies 55% of the total screen space.

Flex S sounds awesome either, wish all this innovation products will be available very soon as z series, as now smartphone market are bored with flat phone factor, fold is nice, more creative design to smartphone market are desirable & demanding!

I am very interested in the slidable phone and also in the triple-fold, but the latter would probably have the disadvantage of being quite bulky when folded.

DO NOT BUY THE SAMSUNG FLIP PHONE!!! They are falling apart and Samsung is charging you to fix them. They are not taking responsibility for known manufacturing defects. You have been warned! @SamsungMobile You have made a big mistake not taking responsibility and shafting me. Imagine you bought a product

...OR what about just being able to connect 2 phone screens side by side together in a case to form and share one screen? Sure they'll be a little black line and a small gap in between (like having 2 PC screens side by side) but on the upside you could also have more power (2 CPUs, etc) and not have to worry about a crease or cracking in the middle of the screen either and then you have the flexibility to step back to a normal sized phone when you separate them again. Sure it will be thicker too in your pocket, but at least you'll still have a use for your old phone when you buy a new one too - to combine them together to form a bigger screen. Besides, what's the point of me getting a Fold 3 for multitasking on a split screen when the screens are going to become so small anyway? I'm sure such technology would be cheaper and more readily able to be developed then all these fold screens too.

pretty funny considering in 90s flip phones were pretty standard untill the iphone came out and everybody started making candybary type phones.

I guess the most exciting OLED would be the one with flicker free technology. I literally can't buy any device with OLED screen because the flickering gives me headache.

I was planning to go with the Z fold 4 when it released in the next few months , but after watching this rollable screen phablet, I have to think twice. Should I wait for the rollable to be released in the market ( probably in 2023/24) ?
