(David Attenborough voice) They were the Communicorns, and first roamed in large herds. They were hunted to near-extinction, and in the following, final, dwindling generations, individualists hid their name and rewrote their legacy for ideological ends. In the years since, new archaeological evidence has been uncovered that sheds light on these ancient creatures, their lives, their habits, and the real impact they left on our world.

Her: I bet he's thinking about another girl... Him: I think unicorns, minus their magical powers, probably existed. As far as a creature goes, not a very far-fetched creature. It's a horse with a horn. That's it. We have such crazier animals on the planet than a horse with a horn. I think that unicorns existed, but we thought that their horns had some magical capabilities. And so what do we do as humans when we want something and think it's valuable? WE KILL IT. We destroy it. And so I think that's what we did. I think, that back - EUGHHHHHHH - in the time of whenever it was, whenever the unicorns were really going at it back in the day. I think unicorns absolutely existed. It's a horse with a horn. IT'S A HORSE WITH A HORN. Have you ever seen a jellyfish? Can you explain to me how a jellyfish works? How is a jellyfish alive, it doesn't even have a brain. But we get all caught up with a HORSE with a HORN? It's not that far-fetched is it?

if you want the rainbow art kit to work treat it like watercolors! Spray down the color cakes with some water first, let them sit for a few minutes, and then use the sponge to make the magic happen. If the cake isn't wet enough to come off on your finger, the sponge isn't going to pick up much at all!

Pretending narwhal horns are unicorn horns is something that happened, but that's not the same as "this is where Unicorns came from" - but you're right that people did believe in those things about unicorn horns, and that narwhal horns, sold as unicorn horns, would do all of that.

We actually recently talked about the unicorn in biology class. More specifically, we talked about the animal that people thought was the unicorn. It was likely an Aoudad, if I remember correctly. Basically, a ram-like animal with long horns. No unicorns existed. Besides, we probably would have found fossil records of those at some point by now, considering that we have records of horses and other animals from many places in the world. XD (I don't know why I'm taking what he said so seriously lol)

I think the problem with the rainbow arts kit, and don't hold me to this, is it's some kind of water color set. And you *really* have to saturate water colors with water to get them to pick up a good amount of color. As someone who uses water colors a lot, you really have to fucking slather those bastards up. I feel like they used acrylic paint in the commercial, you really can't get those results with water colors

What Ethan says about unicorns is almost right. They're just rhinoceroses. Our common understanding of unicorns comes from ancient Greek writer Pliny the Elder who dubbed the animals "monoceros" (one horn). He was most likely describing the Indian rhino. Since he had never encountered an animal like this, he used other known animals to describe it, so that's how the unicorn came to be known to have the "body of a horse."

For information on why a unicorn wouldn't work, there's an anime called "Heavens design team" that talks about it. Apparently to have the energy to produce a horn, it would go through food like crazy and would need multiple stomachs like a cow

I was born in '89, I saw that Rainbow Art infomercial about a thousand times, and my disappointment is just as immeasurable as Ethan's. They made that sh*t look like MAGIC.

I had rainbow art. Used that bitch for 10 years. It was totally worth the hype back in the day. Whatever brand eef is using isn't the original. The one I had was SUPER bright.

The nostalgia in this video make me want to be a kid again!! I'm sure many of us could make lists of the toy's we grew up with. One of my favorites was the Doodle Bear, Next time I'm at the store, I'm buying something because I can. And no one's gonna stop me! 😆

11:39 I think you have to let the paints soak in more… idk never had one but I have painted and sometimes paints come as bricks that take a minute to start working

If it helps, Ethan a lot of kids I know try the trends and toys they see in tiktoks so they're not online all the time. Saw some kids doing skating and skateboard tricks, some with drones and yo-yos, and a few using their parent's Etch-a-Sketches, while my cousins always want to play with the playdoh and kinetic sand I bought myself last year so it's not all hopeless

The last unicorn was a beautiful movie that explores unicorns being a real animal that all disappeared and there was only a last unicorn. I highly recommend it

I'm not joking when I say this... however the fact that Ethan talked about plane crashes at least twice in this Video, and I literally had a dream where I was in a Plane crash... I honestly don't know what to feel beyond "WOW"... that's just so spooky to me... Maybe Ethan was in my dreams before... I truly don't know...

Seeing my rainbow paint art is still vibrant and I did mine when I was 6 it's hard for me to describe what you did wrong. But you don't dunk you soak in the spoung so there is more paint and less water. That's how it's different from water colors for its saturated in paint. Then you need to press hard why so many designs they show you keep a consistent movement as much as it can.
