Sargeras isnt really an enemy of the void. If anything, it was the void that drove him mad (according to the titans who wrote chronicles). It is the titans who sargeras is against. And you cant really say that il'gynoth's whispers predicted anything. Like every oracle in folklore and ancient tales, whispers of il'gynoth are more like vague prophesies that people can interprete the way they think, rather than prediction of everything. There are of course some lines that were pretty straightforward, and others that have not yet come to pass. Yet others seem to have been wrong, like the one that said "the king of diamonds has been made a pawn" unless we are missing something and Magni is not yet done in the story, he was never manipulated or controlled by anyone. Azeroth had a purpose for him and she let him free. It wasnt a trap or anything.

Here is another one I think is relevant after watching the final xal’atath and Aleria cinematic. “Six seats at the high table. Six mouths that hunger. One will consume all others.” I bring this one up, because when xal’atath is absorbing power with the dark heart, you have 6 streams of power funneling into the dark heart itself. 6 streams being consumed by the one. The symbolism is always intentional for the wow team, nothing is by accident, numbers, colors and patterns are always placed with intent. Also, let’s look at this whisper, “Five lanterns, now darkened. The flame they seek will light the masters way” “The lord of ravens will turn the key” “Five keys to open our way, five torches to light our path.” Khadgar apparently escaped the dark heart, but I have a suspicion he is being controlled by Xal’atath, there is this one bit after he is rescued and there is a certain way he says Aleria’s name that I swear has the same tone that Xal’atath spoke to Aleria. The 5 keys are the old gods, we are on the precipice of discovering the 5th old god, and I think with its defeat, it’s when we will see the void go unhinged and invade Azeroth, and the kicker is it’s going to be because of khadgar… or who we thought was khadgar.

I don’t understand why everyone hates BFA so much. To me, it was a better expansion than Legion, which was too grind-focused and unfriendly to alts. Legion was also off-spec unfriendly because the mythic weapons were tied to specific specs, making it frustrating unless you had no life or job. Sure, they ruined the narrative with Shadowlands, but in my opinion, BFA was actually really good.

Legion was my fav because I only play DPS warr and after work grinding made me as good as heroic raiders. Plus I always had something to do like in DF. Bfa was that you have alts or not much to do expansion. That being said I don't like warbound focused features if they make one class players inconvinient.

The primary criticism I hear against BFA is about narrative. It was about a war but the final raid boss of the first patch was an Old God, the second was war related, but then the next two patches were back to Old God related stuff. There barely was a war, the war fronts were phoned in and we only got two of them. Where Legion failed with its use of borrowed power and extreme alt unfriendliness, BFA failed to deliver a narrative based on its core premise and continued the same borrowed power nonsense that was still alt unfriendly.

@@jeremywilliams0021 BFA was actually alt-friendly because there was a weekly cap, and you could catch up on missed weeks, so I’m not sure how people came to the conclusion that it wasn’t. Story-wise, I thought it was pretty good too, almost leading to a three-faction scenario. The faction war ended before Ny'alotha and helped wrap up Azshara’s story. Every time there’s a faction war, a big bad evil shows up, so I don’t see why anyone would criticize that.

@@Trods911 while it's true that BFA had a catch up mechanic, the fact you had to catch up at all was tedious and unnecessary. They did eventually correct this, but in the second to last patch. I am specifically referring to the Heart of Azeroth here. I say too little too late. As for the story, while you are correct a big bad always shows up to capstone a faction war, BFA was specifically marketed as a massive faction war, something that didn't even feature prominently in the raids because again 75% of the patch content was Old God's related. Blizzard could have, and many say should have, focused on the war for the first three patches, did Azshara as the final patch that revealed N'zoth as the big bad to set up a Nyalotha themed expansion. I am glad that for you it worked, but you said you didn't understand why people disliked BFA and I have given you one of the many different arguments why so hopefully that has provided some perspective even if you disagree.

I think Metzen has an eventual end-point for this game somewhere written down. He's got the high points, where the story will have to lead to, but the filling isn't going to jell, that's going to be the creative folks side of it. As long as it keeps going down that road, we'll progress. it's like writing a series, you know where you're going, you know the things that have to happen to get there, but the characters will determine how those points get hit on the way. In WoW, we're the characters. The NPCs have their jobs, but we're the ones who get the story down the road. I'm liking these high points, Xal is a great villain, I'm curious as to how the story will develop, where we're going to be by the end of this expansion.

Tell me about another “treachery” that happened in that period pls. It really is obvious with all hints and everything we got about Zovaal being “Jailed” and Primus the “ Jailer”, poor guy could never use domination magic either, because only one who could carve the runes and control them is Primus, and Zovaal was framed for his undoing. Only thing Zovaal could do Primus couldnt is enter the Sepulchure of the First Ones and learn about the secrets first ones left behind. They are ALL robots, all eternal ones look like Zovaal beneath the skin, a puppets. It was literally all confirmed, except Zovaal was only one with carved runes deep into his body he could never resist domination. How did you connect Orweyna?

I honestly think with the fact that magni is done being the king of diamonds that doesn't mean that "king" is gone. baelgrim before he died referenced magni as a thraegar. this could be a throw away line like normal but why give the king of diamonds form a name? also the whole crater filling with old god blood, throughtout i believe it was this weeks story aleria points out specifically that the blood is flowing in hallowfall. it isn't stated after xala'tath retreated that its influence is gone but there was old god blood flowing through hallowfall this week right next to a giant crystal that seems to be a key point.

I think World of Warcraft Midnight is going to be the singular best out of the 3 to play. I imagine, and this is just a guess, that all the old Gods are gonna awaken and assault Azeroth in a last-ditch effort to stop her from becoming a Titan. Then, it is up to players to stop those plans. Im not really big into the lore, but to me, that seems feesible.

A big company like blizzard would need to have an internal roadmap of the next 10, 20, 30 years in order to get investors. They need something written down. TWW feels a little less so than DF did on the political aspect, which DF really forced a lot of agendas through side-quests with a fair chunk involving draconids and dracthyr and lizards. Omitting 'uncomfortable' past writings involving Alexstrasza certainly didn't help, taking suffering and cold reality out of the game in favor of making it for the comfortable crowd. TWW once again seems to front a lot of imbalance of female : male ratio with males either dying or being replaced, and females taking the lead. Even though making a basic observation, it certainly seems to be favorable for one side and one perspective.

I debated this in Hallowfall's General Chat, and lots of folks have claimed that the Isle doesn't reside near or under Silithus where the Sword would be, even though Beledar being the sword's tip would make basic sense since the context of the trailer for TWW was: "That sword was aimed at someone." from Thrall, though the Sword may play into a different map down the road. The other thing that seems to debunk Beledar being the Sword is how much time has passed since the Void cycle began for Beledar; it was there prior to the sword's plunge, so only after it pierced Azeroth did the Void cycle begin, and the Arathi that are stationed in Hallowfall have been there before the Sword took the plummet. Can't wait for the company to say "From the Titan's point of view, Beledar is [blank]" and consign the revelation to another book locked behind $25.
