I have a Ps5, Xbox one S, Switch and a decent Gaming PC... Yet I dug out my PS3 which has been standing for years (Phat which I purchased new) and decided to finally complete some of the games I never finished. So far I've completed Uncharted 3, COD MW3 & Killzone 3 over the last month! I'm currently playing through Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition which I've put 70 hours into. Each night I'm checking ebay for a source of new PS3 games! Loving it!

I completely feel you man. Here's a brief history of my particular situation. Growing up in the 80's my dad didnt have the kind of money he could just drop on a Nintendo console with game cartridges. My friends had consoles. I never did. My friends had PCs...I could look at some. Never had one. Back in 1998 I saved up enough to buy my first pc. Loved it. In 2009 I made enough money on a contract to buy my first game console. A PS2. And a video store close to me was closing down so I picked up handfuls of PS2 game disks at a time for next to nothing...I mean...the equivalent of $10 for roughly 5 games at a time. So I built out my library that way. This was YEARS after the PS3 was released already. In 2013 I had some spare cash again and bought a brand new PS3, and immediately bought a digital download of Red Dead Redemption. A game I always wanted to play, but couldn't. Fast forward to October 2018. PS4 has been out for 5 years already. Red Dead 2 was about to drop and I scraped cash together to go buy a second hand PS4 just to play that game on day 1 of release. We are now in Nov 2023. My PS2 was gone (friend borrowed it, left it in his shed, and a flood destroyed it). My PS3 didnt want to start up after all these years (hard drive packed up) while I still had around 15 PS3 games in my cupboard and I had barely 3 or 4 actual PS4 game discs with the majority of games being digital downloads. I decided to change things. I Went out and bought a Phat PS2. Two weeks later I bought a PS3 Slim. Bought all cables and adapters required to upscale to HDMI flatscreen TV (for the PS2). Then the collecting started. Since Dec 2023 to date (2 months) I bought another 60 PS2 games, around 110 PS3 games, and roughly 60 PS4 discs. I have never been happier. The moral of the story is: I am now 47 years old. I was denied, by circumstances, the joy of having gaming as a part of my life as kid. As an adult, I could fix that. I never had the latest and greatest consoles as I was always trying to squeeze all the life I could out of a console I had at the time. I may only get a PS5 around the time the PS6 is announced or on shelves. And...I DO NOT CARE!!!!! Why? The joy I get from popping Fight Night Round 4 in my PS3, or revisiting the world of LA Noir on PS3...or playing every Ratchet and Clank game I could collect for PS2, PS3 and PS4 is immeasurable. The PS3 was such a great leap in tech from the PS2 that I Cannot see the PS3 becoming irrelevant ever. Not as long as 1080p and 720p resolution is still capable of delivering great visuals that matches the top-notch game play that system dished up over the years

Man first of all i love your content, second i purchesed a super slim ps3 w 1tb storage and i love it. So far i've played heavy rain,beyond two souls,uncharted 1,2,3 and now i'm rocking god of war.My friends(pc gamers) call me dumb for buying a ps3 in 2024 but i couldn't give less of a fuck seriously. PS3 is my baby. 253 games I own for this system and my library is still growing. So many amazing games here that Sony just seems to have forgotten about. If they ever figure out making their next console backwards compatible with the PS3 library, with performance boosts, I will die a happy man.

Love these videos. The ps3 was my favorite console of all time the new releases were so good they're still making remakes of games that came out for the ps3. The online was free it had a web browser for the first time. I didn't get a ps4 until the pro but I left the ps4 soon as I could.

Fully agree with your choices. I’m mainly on Xbox series S now but have a few of these on there too now. Definitely love playing through them again from time to time. Couple I’d add into this list for me are borderlands 2, bioshock infinite, and portal 2.

I grew up with an Xbox 360 but years later I bought a PS3 slim for all the exclusives I missed out on (free multiplayer too). Uncharted 2 and Little Big Planet 2 were the first games I bought and man they were so good. Uncharted felt like playing a movie and LBP had a really fun online multiplayer experience. Got Arkham City after and it became my favorite superhero game. Also, house of the dead with the PS move controllers is a good time

I'm so glad you mentioned the underrated Skate, its even now one of a kind game. On the surface it looks like a Tony Hawk game, but boy you are wrong if you think that. It's more close to a simulator, than an arcade like Tony Hawk game. Nobody made a similar game like the Skate series.

I never stopped playing that Triple. I take breaks here and there because I plan on all kinds of consoles but the PS3 has always been hooked up. Wife has one too. So many good games to play. I have a God-tier collection and have been playing RE5, Resistance 3, and Sorcery with the Move controller. I think when I'm caught up on those, I'm gonna play through the FEAR trilogy.

I moved house last month and in the process of packing, I found my old day 1 PS3. It's set up in my living room next to my PS5. 2 consoles that can play the entire PS library. Outstanding times my friend. I'm playing an old PS2 Shin Megami Tensei game called Digital Devil Saga. I don't remember buying it back in the day, but it was in a box in my old loft sealed. It's really creepy. PS2 rules.

I loved my PS3, and still have it hooked up to the TV - although havn't fired it up for a while....the only sad thing about the PS3 is that once the console dies (and a replacement is not possible), you will never be able to go back to these exclusive games...a bunch of the ones you have mentioned I have picked up on PS4 if available

I played them on X360, but I loved/love the Rainbow Six Vegas games. It's something about their methodical nature. I really need to feel like getting shot once or twice is life-threatening in order to enjoy most FPS.

You need to play that Batman game on a 3D TV... it looks stunning! there were around 65 games in total that utilize a 3D display.. I've been collecting them for a while now. In total I now own 35 3D games.. some are just amazing like Stardust and Motor Storm Apocalypse! 👍

I would seriously recommend EX TROOPERS. It was a japanese only release, but works on all regions. It's part of the Lost Planet series but plays a lot different.

All of them are top tier games, I never actually played skate tho, personally Arkham Asylum is my favourite Batman game. Did you ever play any of the Fight Night games? I don't think the online is still on but they were really good boxing games. Star Wars Forced Unleashed is a really good Star Wars if you like Star Wars. Sleeping Dogs is a good open word game were your a undercover policeman in China and you infiltrate the criminal underworld and do Kung Fu aswell. Not sure if you have already tried it but I think you would be into it. Great video man 👍
