Thaemine raid statistics for NA/EU was recently published on twitter which showcases how pathetic the stats are. Kanima also mentions that this is not an NA/EU issue because the statistics on Korea release were equally pathetic. At the same time, these numbers can also be used to gauge how many real players are actually playing Lost Ark currently. In this video, Kanima reacts to NA/EU Thaemine statistics.

Brel 2.0? SG* likes to repeat mistakes. It’s a fun raid but not for farm material. I’m ready for 3 gold earners getting to be to much.

Brel was a small child compared to this raid though. At least progression was not locked behind past G5-6. You were very fine without G5-6. A lot of people did 1-2 or 1-4 and they got the gear by the time the next raid was released. I don't know if AGS released statistics for Brel clears, NM or HM, but I think there were far more groups that cleared all 6 gates in a month than those who cleared G1-4 HM Thaemine this past month.

Even if the game was in its prime, most of the players wouldn’t even have completed Brel. The content is to hard for the average/casual player, and Brel is kinda in the middle now

I don't have any stats, but I think in the first month of Brel NM and HM, you would still have more full clears than 1-4 Thaemine. Quite by a long shot. The issue with Brel was that it had 6 gates and some gates such as G5 required everyone to be alive up to a certain point. But there were far more lobbies progging or reclearing G5-6 in the first month than 3-4 Thaemine. G3 HM is harder than any other prog raid and harder than even some hell mode raids. G4 is the hardest content in the game, harder than even Brel hell mode. When you design a raid to be this way, you will have a handful of people clearing it and it is the same people who reclear it as well.

You only think about that.... they developed a 30 min very intense figth with tons of phases and mechanics (g4 hm) which cost them millions of dollars.... to let 120 players clear it.... out of 5 million (!) players they had on western lauch of LA. And they didnt even let other players do this gate at normal mode to finish fcking story arc at least.... That's just stupid asf, i dont have any words

well if you think about it, sadly the game is designed as a "p2f" so their main target are the whales so it makes sense why they did that. i like the raid, but i know that as a f2p i am not their intended target. To me, the combat and raids have been this game greatest strenght. but their progression system their weakness. i think that many of the problems that the majority of the playerbase face could be solved or at the very least, be not that bad if you didn't have to spend your whole fucking week farming to keep progressing your char, so you can instead be progging the damn raid. But since the very core design of the game relies on keeping the whales happy then i have little hope of that happening.

@@TheTournesoul whales are not happy btw. There are dozens of them and only 120 clears.... 120!!!! its nothing, content created for nobody, cleared by nobody, and they worked on it for so long xd

Yep only listen to the hardcore players will kill your game after all. 16% is a terrible clear rate for NM raid which supposed to be able to be done by a majority of player after 1 month. Numbers dont lie, twitch viewership, steam revenue, KR PC bang ranking all decline across the board. The only thing that grows in this game is bot and RMT.

G4 too long 30m fights should be split into two fights or at least restart from 4-2 when you wipe

Yes, but there were people in the 2nd week with 10 clears. Even more so in the third and fourth week. Those 23k clears must be divided in 4 or 5 since 4-5 weeks passed since the raid release. If the number also includes player reclears, then the number of individual clears is even smaller. If out of these 23k clears 5k are individual clears, which is rather unlikely, then it is a miracle.

And is a big surprise why this game dying in 2 years , Normal raid should don't have a wipe mechanic at all be accessible by less skilled players, hard inferno should be for hardcore motherfuckers more gold for them etc,

disagree. instead of nerfing the raid they should make the content more accessible por players by making their progression easier. to me, the issue is that you cannot spend your week progging for the raid because you will lose gold and mats that you need to keep progressing. This raid with more ilvl, elixirs and trascendence is so much easier. and that is what is not accessible for the majority of players. besides, the game should have a boss that should be more or less a challenge so you can see how strong your character is becoming. to me currently the problem is the insane amount of farm that you need to get upgrades and not even speaking of the stupid elixir and trascendence RNG.

@@TheTournesoul Disagree partly. Sure, the raid should not be 1630, the hard mode one. The reason it is 1630 is to incentivize players to rage hone and as such, spend some $$$ in the process. It is a wallet bait. The reason I disagree is that the issue with this raid is not just item level inaccessibility, but its overall difficulty and it being tied to a vertical progression system. Every raid becomes easier when you overgear it. But it is annoying that the same raid design is repeated over and over again, where clears and reclears become easier either if you have a good group, or you overgear and skip mechanics. Transcendence RNG is more bearable because you have that chopago calculator which eases the overall experience. Elixir was far worse in this regard. I am already halfway through my Transcendence gear and spent so far a small fraction of the overall gold I spent on Elixirs.

Honestly? this game need to "die" because if the game not dying then the dev will be "If it is still functioning then no need to be fixed." In their eyes the game need to be completely die first before they can fix something. Consider it like Phoenix which are too old and has to die before reborn from the ashes.

@@ValkyrionX2 If the game is dying in the West, they won't care. Over 200k players play in South Korea alone, and probably similar or even more numbers in China. They no longer make a lot of money in NA/EU, but they have other markets where they make.

I think those stats are how many instances are cleared not players.... or its statistic only for 1 week.... cuz 152 different people to clear g4 is not correct..... we have 300 uploaded logs for g4 thaemine in the first 4 weeks ( AND not all of them uploading ).... so just with this fact, those 152 clears is either 152 instances cleared ( so 152*8 people ) or this is only 1 week of statistics

in fact actually... even if its 1 week statistic only... we have over 20 teams on leadersboard who we know cleared g1-4 ... thats already over 160 people who cleared g4, so.... those numbers NEED to be instance clears not player clears.... so multiply numbers by 8 to see how much characters cleared dungeon, its ONLY way... otherwise stats doesnt make sense, because we have other sources that says we cleared more

@@maminjooo They did not provide details on the timeline this statistic is based, but at the time when they released it, it has been about a month, or a little bit over since Thaemine was released, so I think this statistic encompasses this entire period and not just the first week. In reality though, this statistic shows that Thaemine is the worst designed raid in Lost Ark. A raid designed for less than 1% of the overall player base. We also don't know if these 152 clears are individual or they take into account reclears too. Because I know people that did g4 on multiple characters and recleared on them every 2 weeks.

@@maminjooo Group clears can mean a lot of things. It can mean the same group clearing 3 times. This is the fifth week since Thaemine's release, so 3 G4 clears are possible. I know a few such groups that cleared 3 times. I know also people that cleared G4 on multiple characters. If we divide the groups on individual characters, again things get even murkier. Because some people cleared on multiple characters. Realistically speaking, even if there are more groups that cleared, less than 1% of the player base cleared G4. Vast majority either still prog it, don't bother doing it, or are not at the item level to try it out. And this is the main issue with the raid design. First issue, it is 1630. Second issue, it is tied to a vertical progression system (admittedly you do not need to do G4 to progress, but still, this should've received hell mode treatment). Third issue, the difficulty of the raid is pure developer ego-trip. They wanted to prove themselves that they can make a very difficult raid, but in their quest to make one, they made a raid experience more cancerous than Brelshaza. Because Thaemine actually has 6 gates as well in reality, its just that 2 of them are hidden phases very similar to standalone gates clustered in a single gate.

@@Kalimdor199Menegroth I think these statistics are too brief to have a meaningful discussion tbh. It would be more useful if we had the statistics like what SG did back in thaemine release. For instance, thaemine g3 hm in KR had a 20% clear rate (and only 20% of ppl at 1630 attempted g3 hm). Compared to that, thaemine g2 hm had a 90% clear rate, while thaemine g3nm had a 70% clear rate. It would be interesting to see what the stats per gate are like in NA/EU, instead of overall clears.
