I like these games! I remember being in purple's position, 0% slidering. At least I had the decency to abandon my final cap. But it was a good learning exercise. If the other player has double your troops, you can't hope to reverse them because you can't afford the 0%s if they bring enough off cap. Your only chance is if they lose their mind and take a 0% cap roll for no reason. Actually, you weren't very precise. Since you want purple to block their caps, leaving troops next to their cap is a waste, because you're giving them a 100% roll where away from their caps it might be a lower win % that they could fail. You should be blocking the territories adjacent to those next to the cap and wherever else they might get a card. And if you block them 3 turns in a row, you should try to anticipate them coming off cap and have a big stack waiting, to again funnel them. But I know this type of situation tries your patience. Don't worry, I know how to do the card-block correctly in this situation 😄 Well played.

Yeah, pretty sure in this particular game I was the purple player if it was recorded some point last week or weekend before that. The lack of precision at the part of the 1v1 shortly after having the 3 cards stolen was something that made me question if I was missing something, if my opponent had a reason for doing that which I was playing right into- part of the reason I spent so fucking long in draft was that I wasn't sure if this indicated I was even more screwed than I thought I was or if I maybe had a chance to come back and see a mistake which gives me another opening. I wouldn't let the uncertainty determine whether or not to continue, but it was a bit of an internal battle to figure out how much of a dumbass I actually was for sticking around and potentially wasting both of our time. I vividly remember feeling embarrassed in this situation for taking so long and having made that mistake with giving away those free 3 cards but continually trying to win anyways, it was painful but ultimately a good game I think.

Purple trying to figure out the puzzle. Vs being pissed people quit early. No need for the chirps…

I think purple was actually me, funnily enough. I had a game exactly like this last week, the endgame looks extremely similar on the classic map and I do remember missing that fortify in NA and impotently trying to prevent the looming cardblock on me while maintaining my troop balance, doing all the tricks only to be frustrated by my opponent being smartly cautious and not letting me get any more openings that I had previously maneuvered into and flubbed away. If this is the game I'm remembering then sorry for making you wait so long, I wasn't intentionally stalling. Just a case of having the sunk cost thing going on while ruminating about how badly I fucked up a winning position and kept trying to get it back. I also spent so long thinking because I was trying to figure out how to not lose more off-cap troops while also avoiding a hard card block. I knew that if my opponent played optimally defeat was inevitable, but was just hoping my opponent would do the same thing as me and screw it up and give me another opening to crawl back from. Clearly that didn't happen, but I was trying to learn and maybe even outplay you while feeling very silly and a bit embarrassed all the while xD

ayyy gg if that was you lol. You can check at the very beginning of the video or at the end to see if the name matches yours! I do talk some smack in these games.. ESPECIALLY if they last forever lol.. but its all in fun and for the audience!

No one caps in Aus and then I see that it’s a 2 hour game… we’ll have to be patient for our fiesta dog town today.

Monopoly is every bit as competitive as Risk with real masters. Most people don't play Monopoly by the correct rules, which skews their understanding of the game. You have to manipulate the housing shortage to win in Monopoly.

I think a good indicator of how long a game on these settings will last is if there are caps inside australia😂

I may be in the minority, but I enjoy the longer games a LOT more than the easy 30 minute games. Why? Because almost any of us can win those games where half the other players bot out, or play the game like it's a classic fixed and don't stack their caps. When a progressive caps game is 90 minutes or more, then I can learn something. Otherwise, I don't watch them. I can always fast forward through the stalemate "take a card and pass" parts, although I rarely do. I enjoy the silly chatter.

Why do people keep saying if you flag and surrender you become a bot.. you don’t.. you exit the game in the last position available.. the troops you had on every territory become pseudo blizzards like a neutral bot except that player no longer gets any troops per turn.. if you Flag in a 6 player game and no one has died you leave the game in 6th place.. ffs dude stop trying to mislead people about what surrender really means.. I Just played a game today and one of my opponents flagged and surrendered.. they got NO troops and it skipped them in the turn order…
@KyltedGaming Жыл бұрын
That only happens if the bot setting is turned to Neutral. Almost all of my games have the bot setting turned to Automated

This game would have been an hour shorter if you hadn’t opened up his caps for no reason after you had him blocked. Well played, but if purple was more experienced, he could have turned that around on you
