711/ the bank di have that info, but what people try is to be s noisy neighbor, looking at your detail when you pay. So they can use that info at later date to take your money. The credit card doesn't know if the holder owns the card, you just need, card info and the pin. Get a card printer, print the card info onto a blank card. And you got yourself a new topped up card.

Take note that these are the CC readers used in franchised stores. If 7/11 is not involved, franchisees are. Corporate stores use an all-in-one large screen and a card reader where a skimmer could be easily spotted.

In California it is service stations owned by people from India. They also know how to fake the inspection sticker on the fuel pumps. So, pump 19 gals but it will read 20 gals and charge you for that. That adds up.

We have UPI in India, which does not need any hardware. The store just has a QR code to scan. The customer scans with his/her mobile and pays. Bank to Bank direct transfer.

No a big corporation like 7-11 would not be involved. This is done be the employees or someone using the counter. (This video it's probably not someone using the counter.) There was probably someone who has gave him a preposition, place the skimmer and retrieve and pass on the data. The employee is probably getting paid by the real skimmers each time he send off the data. This would be a multiple step process unless the employee is the real skimmer. Getting the employee in on the skimming can let the real skimmers stay anonymous if they went about it in the correct manner.

Like all the other commenters are saying, the way he's pulling it from the blogger is suspicious. In my mind I wonder if he's either the one putting it on or he knows the person who did it and didn't want to get them in trouble. I've worked at grocery and clothing stores in the past and we'd never be allowed to grab something out of a customers hand, even if it was the company's equipment. Wed immediately be fired and the team would be talked to about not doing that shit as it can be a liability to the company. If I was the blogger I'd have called the police myself after pulling it off and try not to give him a chance to take it back until an officer arrives, although I do have the gift of hindsight.
