Grandfest was insane for me. I took off work and did nothing but play Splatoon for the whole splatfest. I’ve never gamed that hard in my life. Got 12 10x 4 100x and my first 333x win. I don’t think I ever felt more satisfied by a win before in my life.

One thing you forgot to mention was starting with Handshake VS Fist Bump VS Hug, uh, we didn't have to deal with Japan. In fact, this happened 3 times with the previously mentioned Handshake VS Fist Bump VS Hug, Friday VS Saturday VS Sunday, and Drums VS Guitar VS Keyboard. Japan ended up getting Kaiten-yaki vs. Ōban-yaki vs. Imagawa-yaki (don't ask what that means), Red Bean Paste vs. Custard vs. Whipped Cream, and Lightly Salted vs. Consommé vs. Salted Seaweed, with those last two actually being collabs with 7-Eleven and Calbee respectively. (I still can't believe I have a better win rate in Japan than everywhere else because I actually WON on team Whipped Cream and Lightly Salted...)

You have some rough luck, I did snag a few wins over 2024 and was among the 18% to be on Handshake and somehow won. I took victory on Keyboard, Beach, and Ninjas over 2024. I, fun fact, have been on Big Man’s’ team all but Twice in every Splatfest over 2024 (those being Frostyfest and Springfest). Grandfest sure was an experience, despite being on a team that had 0 points on the board, it was the three best days in recent memory. I got to close it off with my best friend and the experience over the three days was magical and unforgettable.

For the final fest I choose team Present along with some of my other friends on the basis of "what you do right now matters the most" and it worked out pretty well we were able to win some 100x battles and a 333x during the fest! This was the first splatoon game I was able to experience the final splatfest of and I really enjoyed how they handled it! (im very sad its over though i still remember it like it was yesterday)

If i'm being honest i didn't find grandfest all that fun. Sure the venue and the concerts were a blast, but I just really wanted to play and represent my team, plus there was plenty of content that I had missed from the first year of splatfests that I wanted to try out, but 90 percent of the matches I played were so unfun. It was even more demotivating seeing Team Present winning several multiplier battles back to back to back, including 333x battles, while my win-loss ratio was basically 1-10 for the entire weekend, kinda like the splatfest just before with Team Rice. I was already so exhausted and frustrated by the time the results came that I actually cried when I saw just how insignificant my team's efforts were. That was by far the worst splatfest experience I've ever had

(Not tryna brag saying any of this) In the Friday Vs. Saturday Vs. Sunday SplatFest, I was on Team Sunday to avoid mirror matches, and I won 2 333x battles in that SplatFest (both in Open) and 4 100x battles (2 in Open 2 in Pro) and I won an absurd amount of 10x battles and regular matches especially after halftime, so yeah I'd say that SplatFest went well and we still lost and somehow went from first to last in open wth

I doubt anyone will see this comment or be bothered to read it because it's so long, but if you want to, I want to say something. I might be one of the main players that led to Team Handshake winning the fest by 3 points. Let me explain. This was a regional Splatfest, meaning that there are automatically less players. This means that each player contributes more to the final outcome. Statistically, we figured that Handshake would win Pro, because usually the least popular team wins Pro, and according to polls, Handshake was the least popular team, and we didn't need to look at Japanese polls because as mentioned previously, Japan had their own Splatfest. So we thought that they would probably win Pro. Because of this, Tricolour is the reason Team Handshake won the Splatfest. Tricolour is only in the second half, Open and Pro probably have more players that Tricolour does, and Team Handshake was the least popular. All of these things mean that whoever does play Tricolour and was on Team Handshake, they would have a bigger effect on the final percentage of clout we got in Tricolour at the end. I was on Team Handshake. I contributed a total of 1327682 clout points in Tricolour. That massive amount of clout, given everything that I mentioned meaning that there are less players, probably contributed a massive amount to the final results. I don't think I was responsible for the entire 1.87% lead ahead of Fistbump we got, but I probably contributed a lot to it. Or I'm just delusional and I was responsible for like 0.00000000000001% of the final outcome in Tricolour idk. I don't think I'm the main reason we won, but I probably contributed a lot. The reason I contributed so much clout to Tricolour is because given how much clout you get from Tricolour, I wanted to see how much clout I could get by the end of the fest. Anyway thanks for reading this insanely long comment lol. Btw, please do not in any way be mean to me or anybody that was on Team Handshake for this. At the end of the of the day, it's just a game, and I was having fun. I just wanted to challenge myself to see how much clout I could get in Tricolour. I didn't think that it would potentially lead me to be one of the main players that led to Handshake's victory (if it even did). Also please don't share this comment on other social media platforms or youtube. I don't want this to be the thing I'm known for.
