I’ll mark that stage review as being unique: No one was called a knucklehead 😂

Pogi wasn’t even gunning for the win! Mikkel and Vegard insisted and he just had to honour their effort. In post-race interview he said, “I win to Thank them!” I’m speechless! 😶

I thought that was a gutsy performance by Rafal Majka to get back to the front and lead out Pogacar at the end. Nice concise analysis once again.

❤ Majka did a great job, never expected he could come back and pull at the last 500 meters.Reminds me of Sepp Kuss at 2023 TDF.

Your recaps are one reason why I don’t worry about missing a race. In fact, for some stages, it better to just wait for your recap.

UAE’s strategy after that first day has gotten better… Tadej covering those attacks at the end were in one way hilarious and at the same time for the other riders, humbling… 🍻

Chris you crack me up with your past stories but they are told so animated and real it gives us guys that have not been in a professional peloton an idea of what goes through your head both before during & after an epic ride like that , ‘dropped like a bag of beans’ by Froomie had me crying 😢with laughter. Keep up your insightful analysis and I think you should start a knucklehead score 1-5 as not all NH are created equal

UAE did a great job today and Tadej was a sprinting rocket!

I found it irritating that the commentators on Eurosport were bringing up the issue of Pogi winning too much. That he should just "let others win". 8 Stages and 6 different winners...what's their problem? There will still be more surprises in this Giro. And Pogi is aiming at 2 GTs as we all know, so "economy of effort" is important.

Major props to Mikkel Bjerg because he was the primary factor that Tadej went for the stage win. If Bjerg had not come back to pull, then UAE would have let the breakaway win.

I’m waiting for a post race interview question, “everything went perfectly today, what was the discussion before the race?” “We listened to the Butterfly Effect and Chris Horner’s advice!” 🦋👊🏻

Tadej never budged from his saddle to cover all the attacks. He looked like he was on a weekend wine tasting tour 👍🏻🚵🏼💯

i appreciate uae's team effort here to preserve pogi and try control what they can in this race. Others say its boring bcoz a favorite won the stage, but me, i like how it was earned, who did follow, and who were the rising stars in the gc. Its inspiring and keeps the race interesting for me^

As soon as Tadej had slowed down after the line, he turned around and immediately went to thank his team mate Majka for the incredible control up the last climb (especially coming back after the late attacks).

Chris, I was just watching the live French Eurosport covering of today race, and Jacky Durant ( a former winner of the tour of flanders and one of the commentators) said he used to call you Yvette, as there was a famous French musician who used to follow the tour de France caravane named Yvette Hornère.

Poor Dani Martinez beat Remco 2 this year in sprints but against Pogi he was like a junior 😢

M. Bjerg had to ride fast the tt to qualify for the olimpycs! That’s what they said on Eurosport in Europe! He apparently had the green light from uae to go full gas!
