The tassy devils are so adorable. Didn't know that they only live for six years, so breeding is crucial to their survival.

I was lucky enough to have a stay in Alice Springs and climb Uluru 40 years ago. I can see time moves slowly in the bush. Beautiful country! Visiting Australia was one of the best experiences of my life.

How do you keep the captive Tazzies from coming down with the bite disease?
@soapiesoap5649 Жыл бұрын
It’s not passed genetically they pass it on by biting each other so by having none in captivity with the disease they avoid spreading it and as there is no wild populations of tasdie devils outside of Tasmania they don’t have to worry about cross contamination from outside captivity

If they can’t come up with a vaccine or treatment for the tumours they plan to wait out until the wild population have made themselves extinct and they’ll release captive bred populations without the facial tumours. I hope they can discover a vaccine 😢

If you don’t read the title, the thumbnail looks like a hairy human ear with a small baby coming out of it lol

Will the female Tasmanian Devil actually birth the four babies she has in her pouch?
@soapiesoap5649 Жыл бұрын
They already birthed them if they’re in the pouch.

These wonder people are so devoted to their animals and thanks to them… maybe our planet would be a better place to live with these wonderful animals… humans in general are the biggest killers of humans … animals and whatnot…..
