The lady who was scarred of Olives actually has a reasoning behind her phobia. When she was a child she saw the dead body of her grandfather and his half decomposing eyes, that looked exactly like olives. So that was the reasoning behind her deathly fear of olives. I personally find it’s wrong and cruel how people constantly make fun of her for this. Even though phobias are things people can’t control, and while can be silly in the mind of others, it is way scarier for the person experiencing it, people online dont seem to understand that. She told the host about her fear and the trauma behind it. She trusted him to respect this and he promised he would not violate this trust. Yet he DID, made fun of the woman in front of millions of people for something she can’t control, and profit off it as well.

Yes! THIS! Making fun of anyone for a phobia, when we know (and they know) it's irrational fear - so, clearly beyond their control - is so cruel. They would love nothing more than to not feel this way, too. Neither K or J would want someone cackling at their depression or adhd or eating disorder, let alone saying "eh f-ck em", so that really really bummed me out. Kris at least thought about it, but Jay really let me down to be like 'what why?'. To see her not push back and instead go with it, man, what a bummer. Hate when those "simple things" can really just bring down the mood when you were just vibin together.

i mean, it's still an objectively weird/rare phobia to have? if a kid ran out of the room when a clown shows up, i'd laugh at the kid too - in person. but if the kid ends up crying and stuff, well, i'll stop laughing and go console the kid i guess. people can't control their phobias; people also can't control what they find funny in the moment. i don't think anyone reacting to these things were really intentionally being mean-spirited... except the host of that show i guess.

the one with Reginald and HIS hoover is the most relatable one for me. both my dogs are convinced you bring stuff home for them. they go through your bags, they go through your pockets, one of them has a thing for nibbeling the corners off of boxes (he is a giant boy with a giant mouth so the tiny nibbles are actually adorable) and the other will hit (her flying paws of fury hit surprisingly hard for a toy poodle, especially when she takes a run up) and throws everything she can pick up including at us and my other dog, she can throw really far and high as well.

She was deathly afraid of olives because when she was a little girl, her grandfather passed away and at his open casket ⚰️ funeral, the funeral home hadn’t properly secured his eyelids and his eyes opened at some point.
