Ladies, you need to start learning how to vet your partners. Some of these women are with boyfriends they are abusive and yet they get married with the guy thinking that they’re going to change them. We need to stop getting into this relationship with this guys just because they are good looking.

unfortunately it is about mentality, not laws usually women are the one critisize other woman wear skirts or kissing boyfriend in public or going to bars etc. family marriage etc seen 'holy' in turkey love sex etc are seen as evil. pressure of society is the real guilty, and it will not change by law.

From the World Health Organization, the study was done in 2019: h0micid€s per 100.000 population in Türkiye was 9.7 with a distribution of 1.7 women and 8.0 men. From the website countryeconomy (a trusted aggregator of data with transparent and trustworthy sources): Total h0micid€s in Türkiye between 2003-2023: 53190, with a distribution of 42622 male (80%), 10568 female (20%). Where is the activism for this greatly unequal distribution? Hmmm?

Impunity is there to make people see 'D34+h Penalty' and religious tit for tat laws favorable in a future referendum. Every crisis is created to bring a solution that will cost a lot more in terms of freedom.

The death penalty is not automatically a religious thing. Turkey had the death penalty before the 2000s, even though it was secular at the time. Japan and the US still do.

Women are majority of most countries and use the vote rationally to parties who support, recognise our rights. Another thing, teach your male child to respect mother, sister and other women. Education is important to get a job and be financially independent, then leave toxic men. I am so happy for my never married life and freedom. Nothing else better than on this earth, like mental and emotional happiness! Be strong ladies!

It always confused me that the people most opposed to weapons being available are the people who are given the largest advantage by weapons. Nature created an unfair disparity of force between men and women. On average men are taller, heavier, and stronger, however weapons narrow this disparity and in the case of guns put everybody on an equal footing. Google for a few minutes and you will find many cases in the USA of victims in their 70s and 80s who fought off attackers in their 20s and 30s thanks to firearms. This also applies to leveling the playing field for women. The only people who benefit from making the tools of self defence harder to access are those who retain access. There's a reason that every anti-gun politician has an armed security team

Impunity means no sanctions. This is definitely not the case in Turkey. Can you give me one example of a woman being killed in Turkey and not being punished despite being brought to the prosecutor's office, DW? There is no impunity, but that doesn't mean zero crime, of course. 400 cases a year is not an unusual number in a country with 86 million people. South Africa, with a smaller population, has 3,000 cases a year.

So the government is spending money to teach women how to fight and I’m pretty sure they got money for women’s shelter, but where are the guys shelter? Where is the help for guys that are getting domestically abuse at home by women, in some countries if you call the cops if your wife is beating you they don’t even come because they just laugh in your face. Domestic violence is wring for both sexes.

I'm feed up of these women priority stuff, in my country we have cases of women also harming men, just last month, a wife cut of the husband's hand with a machete when she was trying to end his life while he was a sleep but he blocked it with his hand, sustained some cuts on the neck but survived in hospital, she tried to frame it on robbers but the man stayed alive to tell the story. Men's rights should also be given priority

Hmm maybe that's because more than 99% of Domestic Violence cases is against Women only ? While the case you stated comes in rest of the remaining 1% ?
