These two blind dogs are the sweetest ❤️🥹

After this woman was asked to foster a blind American Bully, she agreed to do so under the condition that it was only for two weeks. The dogs nickname is Ham Samuel, and within a few day of having him at home with her, she fell in love with the dog and knew that she needed to give him a forever home. She spent months training the blind dog in unique ways, helping him navigate through life without his vision.
Two years later, she was contacted by a different rescue group about another blind dog, a 9 week old American Bully that also needed a family. That dogs nickname was Meatball, and without hesitation the woman picked up him at the airport the next day.
These two are now known as ‘The Blind Brothers’, and although training a blind dog can be very challenging, she’s implementing the things that she learned with Ham Samuel, such as putting hoops around their heads so they don’t bump into things, or walking them both up the stairs when they get scared, just like she did for Ham Samuel when he was a puppy.
Since not many people are willing to adopt a blind dog, there’s a high chance that the pups would have been euthanized if it weren’t for this woman opening her heart, giving them the amazing life that they’re now living ❤️

Just letting you know the ear flips ultimately having nothing to do with a dog getting ear infections if the dog is being cared for aka ears cleaned: ear infections NATURALLY occur in dogs with high allergy sensitives wether to food or environment which often leads to chronic infections for dogs with allergies due to hormonal imbalances: which again has nothing to do with flaps, in fact the flaps are the major reason why dogs dont get more infections because it protects their exposed ear canal from the outside. The whole “ear flap infection” was just bad parent propaganda that got believed by ignorant owners like myself when were new to owning a dog but that is truly a myth!

My blind dog was on the euthanasia list at the local shelter when I pulled him with bulging eyes...he had parvovirus, so we instilled drops into his eyes while he was receiving that treatment. His visit with the veterinary ophthalmologist confirmed we wouldn't be able to keep his eyes, so we removed them when he was about 6 months old. His demeanor changed so greatly once he was out of pain...he's the friendliest dog, ever. He went to dog training and no one in the class realized he was blind until the instructor asked me to speak about animal rescue and exceptional pets! He and my wobbly cat are best friends!

I had a blind dog named Einstein. He was the sweetest puppy I've ever seen. I raised him from a blind little puppy and a year and a half later, my life had been enriched by his presents. ​@@Nearly_dead23 same for my sister. the sweetest dog, she was a rescue and was abused. she was a pitbull terrier iirc so a medium sized pitbull, mayb same size as sam grown up in the video. we figured out from the fact shed growl at 1 of my sisters friends who was north american indian or had a cap on that her previous owner mustive looked like that. when i 1st met her around 10 yrs ago i made a the mistake of dropping to the ground bending my knees much too fast and she jumped backward and back and forth. i slowly got up and held out my hand for her to sniff, she did and ran off after another 3 visits she finally let me pet her head. 1 day around a yr later she was lounging beside the house no fence and some guy and his dog off leash walk by and the guys dog sees sisters dog and lunges for her and she tries to run the dog gets to her they fight and my sisters dog wins by a mile but was still hurt but nothing compared to the other dog. but my sister had to immediately say shed pay for the other persons dogs vet bill if they kept quiet so that her dog wouldnt get immediately put down no questions asked just cuz shes a pitbull. she had an attachment issue where shed get depressed when my sister left the house and would sit in the living room always waiting for her to come home. i lived with my sisters for around 2 or 3 yrs so her dog got to like me and id pet her alot. id give her plenty of attention while my sister was out and i babysat her to keep her at least content. bring her to my room and shed lay on my bed so i could pet her intermittently while i was on my pc. the only way shed hurt u is if she tackled u at the knees then shed lick ur face off.

We adopted a blind dog last year aged approximately 2 years old. She was born blind and her GPS is incredible. She rarely bumps a thing in the house (once she mapped it out), goes up and down the stairs by herself, and uses the doggie door with no problem. She also walks on a leash like a champ and loves her walks. She likes to run really fast in our very large yard playing fetch and navigates the fenced yard brilliantly. She came from a hoarding situation where she was living outdoors in a cage, had puppies, and was heartworm positive (now negative post treatment). She is a great, loving dog and not any harder to take care of than a sighted dog. Don't be afraid to adopt a blind dog.

My dog came from a place with all dirt and rats, her hip was shattered and all of that. We took her home and when I came home from school at 7 years old, I.was.so.happy. I still remember feeding her an apple the first day I saw her!😂 Her hip got fixed at a vet, all good now ❤ She’s perfectly healthy and clean again❤ If you’re wondering, she is NOT blind, NOT deaf or anything like that, but I will say that her breed is the cutest Chinese Crested i have ever seen.❤
