I haven’t had the best luck with the blue tuxedo urchins. Both of mine haven’t lived very long, about a year, but the little white or white and purple pincushion urchins work just as well and have been going strong for 2 years so far-cheaper too. If you have a reef tank without an urchin, you’re doing it wrong!

Is that right?? Did you have algae in your tank when they died? Or do you think they starved? I’ve heard they’ll even live off eating just Coraline. Would love to learn more about your experience!

@@tylerhuxford3440 I don’t have any visible algae in my tank, but all my snails and urchins have done fine minus the tuxedos. For whatever reason they don’t live long for me. They definitely eat the coralline though because I never have to clean my back glass panel which is amazing.
