There's also two very fancy spots hidden in plain sight. One is Frevo with one star in the Village hidden behind an art gallery and the one is Nōksu, inside of a Subway station below Herald Square (of course it's Korean as well featuring a seafood focused tasting menu.) There also used to be a Burmese spot within the Jackson Heights subway stop below diversity plaza called Yun Cafe but now it's a brick and mortar in the East Village called Little Myanmar.

I remember I was in front of Central Park with my friends and there was 4 of us I bought each of us a hotdog and was surprised to find that the card reader said $65.00 as a born and raised New Yorker I told the guy I wasn't going to pay it and he agreed to then just charge me 15 dollars... I would say don't go to a food truck/food cart near or in front of a popular area or attraction in the city as they charge more for blind tourists

It kinda looks like a parking garage. In a recent photo, the building seems to no longer be there. The album is from the year 2000, give or take. Do you know what that building is? TIA

The dance floor was a not very big square room and the entire floor was painted like a Union Jack. It was an afterhours very near to the Ritz. No signage or anything. You just had to "know" where it was. Good times !!

I think the effort is there Jon, but remember folks come from all over the world to visit iconic NYC. Folks like myself on the east side don’t have to worry about budgeting like out of the country folks for price of food like this, since we’re just 15 mins away(north Jersey). I think local bodegas or bringing attention to authentic smaller food places is what people come to see. If I lived in Europe why would I travel to NYC so I can get an $18 drink? Just wanted to be honest because I definitely want to see the old Barr creativity.

I feel like the channel has a plentiful backlog and consistent output of videos detailing places like the aforementioned bodegas or just cheap spots to eat. Special videos like this, personally, provide excellent variety to a channel all about New York, and shine a spotlight on unique locations heavily based off the state's history. Once again, I have no doubt Jon will continue to show audiences where they can enjoy themselves for cheap at the same standard he has before, but I find the rare exploration of secret restaurants/bars like these very interesting -- especially as someone who never really gave a thought to them existing.

I think "Speakeasys" are an icon of New York and not as common around the world. So I'm actually hitting a content bucket that I rarely touch (nightlife). And many tourists want a fun/unique night out in NYC... That being said, plenty more cheap food on the way as well! I can't do all the same content, I'd get bored as well as the viewers.
