About the game:
Instruments of Destruction features an advanced physics-based destruction system. You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. In addition, every object you see in the game world--save for small decorative plants and rocks--is part of the physics system. Each element of the world interacts with each other and together they create a physical, visceral world to play with.
Build Your Vehicle
Build a vehicle your way, with an ever-expanding array of parts and pieces. Using an intuitive vehicle construction system that also lets you customize your vehicles' appearance and controls, you'll always have fun creating your next awesome invention.
From simple splitters to advanced joints, a variety of parts slowly unlock as you play through the game, and each unlocks countless new possibilities.
While some vehicles will perform better than others in accomplishing your objectives, it's always a bit more fun to get creative and go a little off script. Optional bonus challenges and objectives will reward more creative builders and add more replayability.

3:20 I suggested something like this in the previous shockwaves videos, but I can see that this technology has advanced beyond our control. I did not know this was going to be that powerful. It's practically a nuke, except it actively rewrites physics and reality to destructive results. Like someone asked Christopher Nolan to design a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Also, 10:28 Spider turned into a cursed .exe file/game there.

Pitch and roll both on the tail is realistic in most jets like the f22, f35, f14 su27 ect mainly because of structural instability and/or it gives a larger control surfaces

11:51 explanation: If there's an object that moves at 9 meters per second and you're playing at 30 fps then it's going to move at 30cmpf (centimetres per frame) if there is an object that's smaller than 30cm it can't hit it because the game can only update after each frame (usually even slower than that). This is solved by using a raycast to check for objects between where it was last frame/tick and where it is now. The devs of IoD probably didn't add a raycast since the xl steel ball isn't a projectile and, since the wrecking ball exists (which probably has a raycast), they assumed nobody would use it as one.

I would love to see vehicle destruction and multi-player make it into this game. This is possibly the best building system for a battlebots game I've ever seen, it just needs those 2 things.

It has vehicle destruction (there's a setting to change how much destruction), and I agree that it would be great for multiplayer. Although I could see the physics calculations being very complex in a multiplayer system when accounting for lag and desync.

Idea: A literal Crazy Train! It’s a normal train locomotive, (no tender), with 2 coaches! Train- instead of steam it’s cannon balls that come out of the funnel, the driving wheels can drop or throw mines. First Coach- shoots cannons on both sides of the coach. Second Coach- same as the first except it’s lasers. The main idea is to go to one side then drive past the frontside of the buildings while shooting the cannons and lasers to destroy the buildings while moving or not moving! Hope ScrapMan sees this!

I have a similar creation that has the same problem, running on the maximum physics quality doesn't change anything. also, this creation uses XL steel orbs, not wrecking balls, I think it's the XL steel orbs that are glitched.

@@cyantasks7129 nah, the physics updates stay at the same pace. I don't actually know what increased physics quality does, I think it just runs more accurate/more frequent calculations

I realized that the game doesn't really tell you how to disable controls, I didn't know for a while, but hover over the controls and hit Backspace (on you keyboard). I was reminded of that when seeing the hot air balloon collapse inwards. just wanted to note that for people who wanna build stuff with hinges or have only one button for like a magnet or something so you cannot use the wrong polarity or whatever.
