Lol. Those aren't cell phones - they're moobongs, Mamamoo's radish-shaped light sticks. The fandom name is moomoo and moo means radish lol. Before they had light sticks Korean moomoos would show up at MMM events wearing radish masks and carrying real daikon radishes. :) Great comments about their singing and rapping. Hwasa has a fierce and commanding stage presence and she's often the member folks notice first but the others are equally talented in different ways. Don't worry about picking a bias - many moomoos are OT4 and those of us who have a bias get wrecked by the others on a regular basis. Hwasa is Mamamoo's maknae, btw, and she's often called The Fatal Maknae because she makes everything she sings sound sexy, even children's songs lol. This medley was filmed at a MMM concert in 2017. MMM always uses a live band for their Korean concerts and the band killed it in these terrific arrangements. As you may know the competitors on the Immortal Songs 2 tv show perform covers, often as a tribute to an older artist who's the featured guest on the program. These were snippets of just some of the songs MMM performed on Immortal Songs between 2015-17. During that time they became the first girl group to score a win on Immortal Songs and they went on to win 3 episodes in their 14 spectacular appearances on the show between 2015-19. All the covers in the medley are old songs and I don't think any of them included rap in their original version. Moonbyul almost always writes her own rap verses and she showed amazing versatility in writing and rapping over these classic (immortal) songs. You're right that I Love My Body isn't a vocal showcase. Hwasa's sultry voice and style are made for classic jazz and r&b and I'd give a lot to see her in a small club doing a set of jazz standards with a trio or small band. Check out her songs Twit, Maria, Be Calm and especially LMM (Lost My Mind) if you want more Hwasa vocal brilliance and don't miss Mamamoo's vocal masterpieces I Miss You (watch the live performance on Queendom, which is safe for reactions), Paint Me, and Where Are We Now. Hwasa is also my bias from Mamamoo. She got that energy and aura in her that commands me "hey, you, eyes on me, pronto" and I always happily oblige. Their songs are also so iconic for having the girlboss undertones to them. Also, Hwasa's solo songs "I'm a B" and "Maria" are absolute bangers while shading the haters along the songs. And of course you should not forget her collab with Refund Sisters with "Don't Touch Me" because that song is just giving what needs to be given. I rest my case.

One of THE BIGGEST live stage SLAYS in concert history. They definitely came to tear down the walls. I doubt anyone expected anything like that to happen. THEY KILLED IT!!! Mamamoo has done many of these outrageous stage performances for you to see. They are unbelievable.

This is a medley of covers they performed for the Immortal Songs contests, which they won. This also was live and I saw them live in LA in June and they really are that unbelievably vocally talented. My bias is Solar, the power belter and she has a whole lot of content on her youtube. Killing voice is probably next, a medley of their own songs, also live. there is also a newer medley, Mamamoo Hit Songs Collection which was actually Episode 8 on the Hwasa Show(yeah she had a TV show) and they sing a medley of their own songs, a solo each, the full song 1llella and the full song Paint Me which is an angelic ballad, this was live only a year ago. Otherwise any live performance will be epic, MVs are all very well produced usually telling a story or comedic in nature. They have an incredible range of genres. You got some of their back story, they were all told they are short, ugly, in hwasa's case fat and dark skinned and were told they must be the best vocalists ever if they are to succeed. They certainly did the best vocals ever, extreme performance and are now considered beautiful, doing as Hwasa said, setting their own beauty standard. There are over 400 videos and they release 25 songs each year with albums, solos, OSTs, covers, collabs. Each have solo albums, which are as good and you do get more moonbyul singing. 3 of them have youtubes but Solar's Solarsido has been around a few years longer so you will find more singing content there. Covers, acapellas and more. In fact one of her best songs is on last years End of year karaoke video, which has her singing one of the songs from the musical Mata Hari, which she was the lead actress in and a great cover of franki valli cant take my eyes off you. Some live content, she does a solo of their song Chico Malo followed by a cover of Unholy, also michael jackson's man in the mirror is on her site, she rerecorded after doing it live with MJs original backup singers and band. Deep dive into Mamamoo will take months.

YAY, so excited to see you check out Mamamoo! They are all so incredibly talented, and each member also has a successful solo career (and Moonbyul [rapper] and Solar [pink suit] also have a subunit called Mamamoo+). This Immortal Songs Medley is such a great way of showcasing the vocal skills of Solar, Wheein, and Hwasa, but I don't think it does a great job at showing Moonbyul's skills (since those songs are not Mamamoo songs, they are older Korean songs iirc?). So I'd love to see you check out Mamamoo's Dingo Killing Voice as well, which is them singing live a medley of snippets of several of their best songs. And no need to pick a bias! They are all incredible. I agree that Hwasa is the most charismatic performer of the four, but they are all phenomenal (and my bias is Moonbyul!). They also all believe firmly in being true to themselves as individuals in a way that is very admirable. I can't wait for you to get more into Mamamoo!

Their songs are so amazing with harmonies that shake you to your very core. All the members have their solo songs and theyre absolutely EVERYTHING UGH Some of my favorites are Wheein's 'Watercolor' and 'Easy' Solar's 'Spit it out' and 'Honey' Hwasa's 'Twit' and 'Maria' And Moonbyul's 'Lunatic' and 'Eclipse' And lastly i highly HIGHLY recommend their debut song 'Mr. Ambiguous' so you could see how amazing they were since day 1.
