I still suspect that RBW kind of made them go on Queendom - they were already a top group at this point and didn't need the show (unlike the other groups that could use the exposure at that time.) Still it was the gift that Moomoos love.

Except Mamamoo didn't win that round, they kept coming in 2nd place to Oh My Girl for most of Queendom right up to the final round. Edit: I say that as a compliment to Oh My Girl, check out the greatness they did, don't flame me.

And when it comes to rounds won, it was literally 2+1 unit round wins for both MMM and OMG. They were also robbed of first place in the first round against the god-awful G-Idle stage and the previously mentioned Oh my god stages that won because of aesthetics alone.

You don't have to love their songs, but it would be pure folly to deny their talent and skill. Mamamoo has a different standard to most artists and that is just the way it is. Love the girls. This performance was fantastic! Great reaction!

Well Queendom was a competition show (which they won) so the other groups back stage, including gidle, were their competitors as well as peers. The theme of that performance was to honor their fans. Mamamoo chose that song and the video in the middle of the performance was a condensed timeline of Mamamoo from trainees to current always showing the members thanking MooMoo's for their support. For me, Mamamoo will always be "that group", not just in gen 3, but in kpop history ❤❤🦋❤

Thank you for your reaction. The Queendom performances are generally not blocked. Mamamoo performances include Decalcomanie, covering AOA's Good Luck, Hwasa and Key(from Lovelyz) covering Billie Eilish I just Kind of Wish you were Gay, and most importantly their performance of Destiny one of my 2 favorite Mamamoo songs, in the final round that won them first place. The I Miss You performance was in a round labled Fandora's Box where the groups took fan suggestions for what to perform. Mamamoo took it farther and celebrated their fandom (as they do so frequently). Moonbyul rewrote her rap to be about their relationship with the moomoos and the videos were directed at their fans, which included many of the other contestants.

This performance always makes me cry. You can truly feel how grateful they are for their fans and how much they genuinely love and care for moomoos. I know most idols do love their fans and don’t take them for granted, but there’s a difference in the way that Mamamoo expresses that love. Glad you got around to this one, and really glad you used the one with the subs for Moonbyul’s verse, since it was obviously changed for this performance. That verse really puts the whole performance into perspective.

Competition show between different idol group. G-dile was in this competition too; however the final score and final winner was Mamamoo who won first place. I think Queendom show was also the first time Soyeon of G-dile showed the song- lion. Queendom season 1, the group you know that attended, AOA,. G-dile and Mamamoo etcc.. . Queendom season 2 has Kep1er etcc which you know

That was truly an amazing performance. You could see the other groups watching their chances of winning the competition evaporating before their eyes. The lady watching in by herself who they cut to early on is Park Bom from 2NE1, who is one of Mamamoo’s main influences. She was competing against the other groups as a soloist and she put in three amazing vocal performances on this show as well. If this one doesn’t get blocked check out Park Bom’s version of her early solo hit “You and I “ in a new arrangement, her cover of Idle’s “Hann” which stunned them all and the new song she prepared for the show “Wanna Go Back”. Also Mamamoo’s version of Decalcomanie at the opening of the show, their cover of AOA’s ‘Good Luck’ (although Wheeinn may end Coach in that one!).

Thank you so much for your beautiful appreciative reaction. Wheein was going through some serious struggles at that time, and was not able to participate in all of the reality show aspects of Queendom, saving herself for the live stages. It brings tears to my heart watching her sing so incredibly beautifully, together with the other three members. The other thing that makes me cry every time is watching the announcement of Mamamoo’s Queendom win. This was the queendom competition and those were the competition. You should watch the rest, Decalcomanie was first the best version of it, the other groups were saying things like stop being so fabulous. Destiny was the last song, very US country rock flavored. The also covered the AOA song Good Luck(AOA covered Egotistic). During the contest, the first 4 groups were asked who they Didn't want to compete against and all 4 groups said mamamoo, so then the show introduced mamamoo. There is a reason mamamoo is my favorite group anywhere in the world and this song shows it. I am also so deep into the Solar System, I would not even notice if the sun stopped rising one day but really all 4 are world wide at the top with the best of the best and this song shows god put at least 4 angels on earth to sing for us.

Mamamoo hands down is the best vocal group in this queendom show...and i believe coach and ms coach knows about AOA , park bom and gidle that was in this competition..but there was another group called Oh my girl (shown at 2:00 timemark) that was on the crossroads and rumoured to be heading for disbandment..till their performances in this queendom show gained popularity and literally saved the group's future... just putting this info in case coach and ms coach are really to explore other girl groups LOL😂

These Idols got into the business because they loved singing, dancing and performing. They started out as fans, and they remain fans. The idea that there's any ill will between Idols/groups is nonsense. You see the proof every time groups/artists watch other groups/artists. It's especially true when it's a group like Mamamoo who's the current standard for vocal excellence. The only problem with this reaction is that Coach says that Wheein is his bias, while Hwasa is my bias, so Coach is clearly not always right. ;)

From an essay titled: “The Vocalists” They were known by their peers as "The Vocalists". Sometimes they were known as "The Beagles". Other times they were known by their proper name: MAMAMOO. They had a reputation, which was this: generally, whenever MAMAMOO entered a competition, the remaining competitors would have to settle for 2nd place. Why were they called "The Beagles"? In Korean culture, "beagles" signified being loud, happy, and boisterous. The staff and attendees at every major concert venue in S. At the semi-final stage (when (G)I-DLE performed Put It Straight), MAMAMOO walked up to the mics and just stood there and sang. No choreography. Minimal instrumental accompaniment. When the stage was over, MAMAMOO had dropped a rank, largely attributed to their lack of choreography. But among the various judging groups, one group stood out. In a self evaluation scoring by their peers, the consensus was that MAMAMOO’s performance ranked #1.
