lol I have been dealing with my 3rd seat 07 Tahoe because i take it out, and put it in ,due to room I need,lol when I watch this nice guy just push the seat in,its like pure magic,i could repeat watch it all day ,today Im putting the seat back in because my husband bought a 07 Chevy suburban to give my Tahoe a rest and we have more room. thanks for the awesome help

I finally was able to fix my seat after a year of not being able to lift the seat open. I have watched a zillion videos on this. I have taken the seat apart twice only for it to work while out of the truck but once put back in stuck again... I was about to purchase a new seat for $385 but decided to give it one last try. You explain this procedure so well!!!!!!!!!!!! It was those back seat brackets so once I truley slammed it in... everything worked! Thank you so much!!!

My right side seat will not fold up. I tried the trick of moving the latches forward on the rear and seat still stuck in the down position. What would you suggest? I tried slamming the seat very hard down into the floorboard - still no help

So it sounds like it's more of an issue with the cables inside the seat itself. When you are trying to move the seat down, the cables are more than likely, not bending with it, the only way to figure out exactly what is going on would be to open the back trim of the seat and check the wiring. I also tried slamming the hell out of the seat on the rear mounts (something several recommended) and no help. Wanted to make sure you didn't think i was saying the seat was stuck upright.

@@a1chemist1 So you're doing everything right in terms of trying to fix the problem but unfortunately, since you've tried everything, at this point, you may need to have someone take the seat apart to figure out what exactly is going on. Since there could be several reasons as to why the seat doesn't fold back up, we won't be able to give you a specific answer. We apologize for the inconvenience!

I can only get one to slide into place when I push it forward. The other one just stops when it meets the bars in the floor.

Regarding the rear latches on my 2009 Tahoe 3rd row seat... I couldn't get left seat to latch in place on rear.. After checking latches I found both latches were in closed position therefore not allowing them to latch into place in the grooves.... I tried WD-40 and tried prying open with screw driver without any success.. If you could offer any help or suggestions my dear sweet wife and I would be forever grateful!

It just depends on if the row is equipped with child seat restraints. There were also some aftermarket seat companies in the past manufacturing third-row seats, but it's unclear if they're still in business, since GM changed the seat design in 2015.

Hi Samantha, Yes your 3rd row "bucket" style seats are interchangeable with the 3 seater option. GM actually discontinued the "bucket" style option after a few years as it was widely unpopular. I would look at salvage yards in your area to find a set. The year range you'll have to look in is 2007 - 2014. All the seats during that year range are the same. You can also look for seats coming out of the following vehicles as they are also the same. Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade ESV. Keep in mind the Escalade seats will be perforated along with some of the Denali packages. Hope this helps.
