It is listed (Grade II), so whilst they desperately want to redevelop that land for residential purposes, the manor house is in da wai. That's why they have sub-standard security - they want it to get wrecked, arson preferred, then they can demolish it without recourse. No one wants responsibility for a listed building. They "look" like they're protecting the site with sensors, cameras and *cough* highly trained security personnel *cough* so they can't be at fault if the worst happens, can they? Praxis bought the entire estate for £4.7 million in 2014, in 2015 proposed to demolish the office buildings, landscape the grounds and renovate the manor buildings for residential use, and as of 2017, they're looking for offers to offload the entire estate and all assets. £4.7 million was an expensive albatross for Praxis, I guess?

Also some windows are missing which are grade II listed and cant be replaced. Becouse of these issues this place is hard to sell which it is on sell at the moment. The owner cant be asked to fix it sadly or planning permission is soo long.

I went in there 2 days ago. Security has risen a shit ton since this video but I found a way in through the seller hatch. The door to the clock tower Is locked with a cabnit in the door. But everything else is unlocked like the bedroom doors and such.

Police get a call saying someone has broken in, effectively an allegation is made.... they attend to investigate.... as far as that copper is concerned, they have likely committed a crime. Timbo Slice To answer your question: because you are innocent until proven guilty. Not only that but I’m pretty sure that trespassing is a civil matter - and not a crime anyway ( in England & Wales). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I wouldn’t have co’operated because i know the guy is just doing his job and like you say... if you’re going to enter abandoned buildings then you have to expect that the police may want to ask you some questions if caught. But its the way the policeman went about it. The tone of his voice and his attitude. Why couldn’t he of just spoken to him respectfully and politely instead of shouting at him like he’s a naughty little boy being reprimanded by his dad? Not only that but his claim that (in general...) if a policeman tells you to stop that “you have” to is wrong. The police are the ones that answer to us - the public - he is a public servant. The fact that he honestly thinks that everyone has to do whatever he says is to me, indicative of the attitude that a lot of the police seem to have in the interaction videos i watch. An attitude that seems to be driven so much by ego that when they encounter a person that knows their rights or that doesn’t respond to any unlawful directives or questions, they often abuse their powers and lie. To answer your question about "respect for authority", I can't speak for everyone - but personally I find the idea that another man / woman having any kind of authority over any other man or woman is ludicrus. He was barking orders at Matt in a way that I considered to be very offensive. I think when the police encounter people that see them for who they are (just a bloke in a costume) that know their rights and who aren't scared of them, it damages their ego. Having said that, Matt gave him a reasonable explanation for his being there, he showed him his cameras and even explained that he had been there before without incident. He said that now that he had been made aware that they did not want him back that he would respect that. He acted lawfully, was very forthcoming with information and assisted them in thier investigation (which he was not obligated to do). In spite of this the man in the costume still was insistent that he had to do what he said, and that is what i responded to: the fact that he is wrong. *"And you are wrong. The police are not 'public servants'.... they are crown servants. Their role is to keep the queen's peace and uphold the laws of the land."* Apparently I am wrong on that one. I was always under the impression that because the public pay for them, that they are public servants. Apparently not. All the images i feel must stay withe the house in a way like camara film picks up the image why wouldn't other materials?
