Thank you for this video. I'm going to take a deep breath and try this again. So far it's felt like I'm trying to strap an angry cat to my chest with curtains.

I know this video is really old and you probably won’t see my comment, but I just wanted to come on here and say thank you for talking about how to make a deep seat. I was struggling with that for so long and I just figured it out because of your video!

Thanks for this video! I’ve been practicing using the sling at home for nursing and yesterday I used the sling to breastfeed my baby at a restaurant!

Thank you for making this video, I found it very useful as I just started to wear a ring sling and it doesn't feel good and my baby girl is not happy. I knew I must've made some mistake an that was the reason my baby wasn't happy but I couldn't figure it out. I must say that I appreciate the way you speak in the video, you are very natural and you seems to speak from the heart with a real desire to help. Thank you!

Great video! I feel like there is a really steep learning curve with the ring sling. I used to carry my oldest daughter all the time from birth up to three years, when I got pregnant again. I loved the woven wrap and got really comfortable with different styles of wearing it, as well as a full buckle carrier. So when I got the ring sling for my twins I thought it would be no problem at all. Well, nine months down the line and I’m STILL not 100% comfortable with it. But I only ever wear it for a really short time for when I’m getting stuff done and one of them fusses. For actually wearing for nap time or going on walks I use a Meh Dai.

Thank you so much, I had given up already, I would watch a video every 3 weeks or so and get frustrated... I saw your video 20 min ago and she is on the sling now!!! is still a little hard to pull the fabric between the legs but I feel more confident now, You got the 5 mistakes just right! (no pun intended). Thank you for taking the time! so appreciated! can't wait to use it at the office!

You totally helped me!! I used to just like my rs and only use it for quick holds. Now I love it and it’s my go to!! My mistakes were putting the rings too low initially and not getting the seat up in between her legs.

Thank you. Your video was more than just good advice for problem solving sling wearing, you also include a bit of baby-mamma psychology. I've done a good bit of research in preparation for being a parent, went to A LOT of classes, but have yet to make it to a baby wearing class. Thank you for helping me to return to using my sling.. I had put it down some 8 weeks ago, and now my 2 month old is fast asleep supported on my hip :)

Your point about building up endurance gives me hope in general. Even the carriers I’ve tried that initially felt great after a day or two I was so sore and stiff. I can definitely believe that was a me over doing it issues. 😅

Great, informative video! Thank you! Nothing about getting fabric too tight on legsI have practiced and practiced and still get bad, deep red marks on the leg furtherest from the rings. There’s a lot of people having this issue on Reddit. What mistake are we making?

Your video was extremely useful. My problem is definitely trying to create a seat. I was the mom who said “this is god enough”. Figured my small preemie baby was ok and he’s so light it was no biggie. Thanks again I’m going to keep trying to work at it. I had heard about the top down method pulling from the top but because I had already made the seat tight or the sling tight I didn’t think that was the best method of going about trying to dig your hand down now in front of you and your baby. Can you share where you purchased the sling you’re wearing in this video?

Thanks so much ! Very usefull ! For the fifth point, the two first times I tried my first sling with my 2 years old boy, I was afraid he doesn't like it and I feel so disapointed because he tried to get down and repeat non stop : "Erwin is stuck, Erwin is stuck !!" Then, I take time to explain him I'm needed it for my back, and everything is okay, it's cool, but it doesn't work. But I didn't want to give up, and I found a way to relax him : I've shown him videos and pictures of other moms and babies wich are happy with the sling, then, when I put him in the sling again, I've shown him that we are like them in the mirror, and then, he finally accept it...😅 What a pleasure for us now, cooking, cleaning, doing odd job, walking, singing, and making big hug at the same time ! So, don't give up to quickly ! Ps : I've made all the mistakes you talk about too !

Hi! Thanks for the video. Is there such a thing as having your the sling be too tight for baby? I obviously want my 1 month old to feel very secure but I’m also already that it might be too tight on their legs when they are legs out.

Audrey Sosa I’m a plus size momma! I love the ring sling. It definitely has enough fabric for both me and baby to be comfortable. I just have one from amazon and I like having the ring sling compared to the backpack carrier and the moby wrap :) hope this helps!

What type of ring sling do you recommend? I use a boba wrap and a baby bjorn carrier one, depending on what I’m doing, but I would like something to toss in my diaper bag that won’t take up a lot of space. I was looking at the Sakura bloom silk ring slings but they seem a bit pricey... my daughter is almost two and we are expecting our son any day now so I’m looking for something convenient for carrying him around. Thank you so much, I love your channel and all your videos!!!

If you're looking for a good bargain on an excellent ring sling, I recommend the Soul Slings ring sling. I carry them at The Sensible Mama, and they range from $28 to around $50, depending on the fabric and weave. They are fantastic slings; in fact, the one I have on in this video is a Soul Sling! I highly recommend.

At the moment, I hate it. The video is helpful, but it is still difficult to get it right. The ring gets low, the fabric gets bunched up in the neck as you asjust stuff.. Also! The rings are still locked after I lift the baby. I cannot even get the baby out properly.
