Have you tried contacting Amazon support? They might be able to look into that for you in case there was a bug or something similar. I usually share the US links and let the one link work from there, as it it defaults to the chosen link, that's still the majority of my audience covered.

Great question. You don't need permission to share Amazon affiliate links from any of the authors or sellers. They approve it by selling on Amazon. So you're free to share your links. And you are free to give any rating you want - sellers/authors can't ask you to take it down - free speech is allowed.

Amazon is starting to allow links in DMs if requested by people, but it's not clear yet what the rules around it are, how they will check and if they will award those sales. So stick to adding links in your bio link, in linktree links if you have multiple to share, or sending people to a landing page where you have the affiliate links there. To disclose, just type "affiliate link" or "ad" somewhere in the posts or where you share the link.

If you had your affiliate program hosted elsewhere - like Shareasale, AWIN, CJ etc, you could tap into their database of publishers and send invitations, but I don't believe that's possible if you sell on Amazon, and not on your own website/shop.

If she buys anything from Amazon until the next day at 2pm, you get a commission, if she does it next day at 3pm, you don't. If she clicks on a link again, the countdown starts again. Let Amazon, with its miserable reduced commission, look for customers and promote sellers on its own. But the places can be used for other programs that give higher commissions.

You say that, but Amazon's conversion rates are much higher that other retailers. They offer faster (and often free) shipping, most people already have an account with them, they have a better refund policy and are available worldwide. Not to mention they are the only program that geo-tracks sales so you can monetize clicks form other countries.

You can do either, or do both. Plenty of affiliates have a following on other platforms without needing a blog (think KZbin, Instagram, FB etc), but it depends on the type of content you create. Yes, you can share links on public FB pages, but to gain followers and get sales you also have to offer value, tips, advice, original and insightful content etc! Depends what your niche is, and how the products you recommend can help others. Don't just focus on promotion and selling.
