The 3 bladed side is actually meant to be on the outside of the pipe. It's in Malco's tutorial videos on there website. I used the 2 bladed side on the outside for the last couple of years then I had to buy a new pair. I believe Malco C5R, and I couldn't figure out why the thumb release was on the 3 bladed side. It cause me to investigate. I do like your videos keep it up

For some reason, I decided to look for directions BEFORE crimping some pipe. (NOT my usual method). I was going to do it the way The Sheet Metal Kid said was wrong. Thank you, Sheet Metal Kid for setting me straight!

Good video. I have a new house, ranch w basement but they used flexible pipe for all the runs off the main trunk. Should I replace the flexible ducts with metal ductwork for better airflow? Thanks.

How should I Un-crimp a pipe? Bang it out with a hammer over a curved surface? I need to reverse the crimps on a 4" Y to make the airflow go in the proper direction. Thanks for your videos

When using sheet metal tubing for a furnace and water heater exhaust into a sheet metal chimney liner, do I need to use anything to seal the seams (ex: HVAC metal tape/clamps/adhesive sealer)? I watched your video on the correct direction of crimping and it made sense but I haven't found anything about how to address the seams for hot exhaust gas. I will obviously insulate the tubing but is there a product you use on the seams to insure they are air tight? Considering exhaust gas isn't pressurized per say, would it be okay just to use worm gear clamps to insure the piping doesn't become disconnected?

Range Hood install. The vent pipe is in two long (too low on the wall). How do you cut/shorten a tube while it is still in the wall. The tube is vertical. I want to try to keep it in place, shorten and at right angle to exit the wall for connection to the range hood.

Hey! Great video. Have a question for you. I've got a 4 inch coming out the dryer but I need to connect it to a 5 inch that cake with the house. What's the best way to go about connecting them? The 4 inch off the dryer is crimped and the 5 inch venting to exterior is not crimped. Any help would be awesome! I've been without a dryer for almost 2 weeks already. Thanks!

4 to 5" increaser (not reducer) This would not be crimped on the 4" and crimped on the 5" to fit inside the existing

Not a hand tool that I know of but there are hand crank rollformers that do it
