As a fellow north east texan and someone that grew up in the ranching industry, I love getting to see how other run their operations. Both my husband and I were raised in Red River Co on large cattle ranches but when we moved towards the McKinney area for his job 17 yrs ago we bought 5 acres. We started raising dairy goats, now days we still have our dairy goats but also boer and sheep. We are still figuring the sheep out lol but with the knowledge of others we have learned a lot. I will say the sheep are easier than goats but I wouldn't take for our little herd. Everyday they teach you something new

From my mentors at TCU Ranch Management, John C Merrill, James Link, Kerry Cornelius: " Take half, leave half". This means forage base and the ability to rotate pastures or range are the keys to sustainability. We market our grass through the animal. If you can, cull the bottom 10 to 15% producers in your herd or flock and you can really improve efficiencies quickly. Also, set breeding seasons allow you to track the inefficient animals and get lot load premiums plus more favorable terms for shrink if that's included in the contract. Love your channel, got on it with your segment on Amos Miller in Pennsylvania. Thank you for covering that growing threat to our food security, keep up the good work!

Can't wait to see the full video interviews! There was one guy I'd seen on a channel long ago, I believe he is in Texas, raises white sheep, processes his own on the farm and does farm meals on site and pre-sells the lamb too I wish I remembered his name, I remember he is a Veteran but I can't remember his name or who interviewed him back in the day. We are nearly done with all perimeter fencing and have a contact when we are ready for some Dorper sheep. I recently read your book! @@Kpc12345 I think he’s justified in his critique. Also if you are an adult that thinks “borderline stupid” is too mean then you need to buck up. Lots of countries are making horrible decisions that people are unaware of and maybe critiques like this will bring those issues to light.
