While hiking across the Swiss Alps, I was able to participate in a Transhumance, bring the sheep down to lowlands for the winter. The local school kids participated in this event.

I grew up in Germany not too far from the Swiss border and visited Switzerland many times. The alps are the most beautiful place on earth in my opinion. Looking forward to the Switzerland episode. My family and I went on a little vacation ourselves to learn more about sheep and the trades in October to Hailey,ID. They have had an event called Trailing of the sheep festival for decades. It was a great experience.

In the Romanian Carpathians Mountains, part of Alps as well, there is a large local rural population raising sheep and practicing transhumance. Eastern Europe should be your next trip :) beautiful scenery!!! Happy you enjoyed it.

If you ever decide to visit and learn about sheep raising in Romania, I will be happy to help you and introduce you to the local shepherds. Locals are very friendly and hospitable and will love to have you there. I am actually planning on getting a Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog.

We did a lot of our own cooking, so we didn’t eat out a ton. But there was a market in France that had a lot of what you just mentioned and we enjoyed the quality of ingredients 😍

Every year in the fall here in Cedar City Ut we have Heritage Days which involves bringing a large herd of sheep straight down main street .The herd follows a wonderful parade of team drawn sheep camps and more modern camps pulled by the finest pickups and vintage four-wheel vehicles ever.

Switzerland is soooo beautiful. I was able to visit shortly while on a trip to Italy. ❤I love how close and easy, by train, it is to travel from one country to the next and the food, people and views were amazing! Cant wait to see your visit ❤😊 I moved from San Antonio, Tx to Senegal, West Africa to begin my adventure in farming sustainably and it has its own challenges but the profession of herding sheep was one all of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah did and if anyone does it you will see the wisdom of it. Dealing with these animals makes you a more patient, humble person when we reflect on this life. Loved the video❤

Yes Jesus said that as did all of the Prophets and Messengers before and after him. They were specifically chose by Allah to deliver the message at their times. Jesus has a "God" and he showed those people he was sent to...the Lost sheep of the House of Israel..."Our father, who art in heaven...hypothetically we are all the children of Allah but no one is the biological child as Allah doesnt have children or wives or mother or father. Allah is the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists and is not in need of anything or anyone. All we have is a blessing and mercy from Allah and the message has primarily always been the same...Worship only Allah and do not associate any partners with him. Do not worship the creation...worship the one Jesus prayed to and Muhammed, Moses and Abraham all prayed to...Allah. If you do this and follow their example you will have the best of this world and the next. ❤ Read the Quran my dear...there is more to learn. I was christian for 26 years before I asked "GOD" as I understood Him to be to guide me...I have reverted to Islam for 34 years. May Allah guide us all...ameen.❤
