The Ranger is a great mini carbine but bang for the buck. I think the Umarex notos would be some very stiff competition for it and really all one needs for a LOT LESS $$$. I picked mine up new from PYA for 235$ and it will shoot dime sized groups at 50 yards with a UTG Accushot 3-12X44SF/SFP. What a great lil PCP and it’s regulated ❤

You're right, video capture often doesn't do justice to optics - especially when the image is being blown up to fit a tv or tablet screen. The harsh light on this shoot didn't help either. It is a brilliant little optic. All the best. Mat

Hi Matt, great video and shooting once again, you are one bad ass Crow Assassin 😂😂check out your video at about 8 mins 50 secs, you can actually see the pellet strike on the Crow. I had to actually do a triple take cause I thought I was just imagining I seen it 😂😂 That was pretty cool to see 😅😅👍👍 that Arken Scope is a nice piece of kit to.. @@crazycressy7986 Hi Crazycressy, Yeh I do love the Arken especially the one with LRF And the Ballistic Calculator, it's an amazing piece of kit.. I watched like over and hour long podcast from Davie from Feild Sports Scotland on 2 of the Arken Day/night scopes.. It was a total indepth podcast, and he uses both of them.. So I do fancy the 5-20 with LRF and the ballistic calculator one..I will need to save up first 🤣🤣 lol.. 👍✌️👌

I agree for 40 odd shots in sub 12 and so small they really need to lower the price for me. I would go for the pathfinder with its 200 plus shot count but they are two good looking rifles.

Hi Matt, Thank you for your footage and review. I envy you, being able to get so near to those crows, Magpies, etc. Your Reximex looks a great air rifle and well capable of knocking those crow Magpies over, etc. It goes to show that some great airgunning can be had at that price point. I like the Brocock you reviewed. Its foldability and ability to be concealed look great. I'm not over thrilled by its shot count. However, a better shot count would probably mean a bigger air reservoir. Maybe a buddy bottle may be the answer? Best wishes, Matt, Ian.

Hi Ian, As Craig says, take a look at the Pathfinder for a higher shot capacity. Getting close to those birds was down to several factors. The fact that they were out in bright sunshine, which their eyes had adjusted to, was clearly making it very hard for them to spot us in the shadows. There are also usually more gullible young birds around that this time of year. Thanks for watching. Mat

I’m getting mixed signals online about whether u can actually shoot either species with out having legal problems is this something you could clear up for me ? It could be that their numbers are not great enough to cause the same damage there. We are able to control certain avian pests under general licence. This is usually influenced by whether the species is native or invasive, if native it then hinges on their abundance and the impact they have on native wildlife or crop damage, risk to human health etc. Thanks for watching.
