This is what I love about Drew Barrymore. Not only is she a terrific actress that we have grown up with, but she's a woman who can have a deep, genuine conversation with anybody and everybody. I love her talk show. It's the only show that's on TV that is positive.

Open Letter to Maverick Carter and Lebron James….. The show is an amazing show! This episode was the dopest episode yet. That being said, forget the analytics about attention span, etc., make this show an hour long show. Drew Barrymore is so dope and her story is and has been the autobiography of child actors for years. And giving that question at the end and listening to her testimony was dope, but that episode should’ve and had to allow room for Kyrie, Idris and Paul to answer too!! Compelling, human tv that deserved an hour…. Blessed Regards, Roygfan.. 👊🏾✊🏾

I can see why i like Idris as an actor b/c he carries a level of sincerity as a person that conveys itself in his craft, for sure. But,..(respectfully)...he was bringing a certain innocence to the conversation of playing certain roles (particularly, AA characters) that betrays the ultimate litmus test for any actor.....believability. This was painfully evident in the MJ reference. The question of whether he can actually hoop was a hurdle if not for himself but for the audience he would be seen by (which in no small part would be decidedly AA). Kyrie's facial expression at the onset says it all. God Bless ALL my brothers. Peace

Powerful and one of the best episodes to date. This episode shined a light on resiliency, identifying who you are, and even touched on mental health in some aspects. The most poignant point is when Drew stated she has learned to accept and forgive herself. That ending had me in tears. Kudos to Kyrie he is such a beautiful soul that is misunderstood by so many and just seeing his growth, transparency, vulnerability, taking accountability, and now knowing who he is as a man today is quite a testament and should never go unnoticed.

@@philbosh03 kyrie wanted out from day 1 when he heard rumblings bron was coming back. He didn’t want it. Kyrie has always wanted to be the alpha. Kyrie just needs to realize his basketball talent is alpha level with any of the top players in the league. The other intangibles such as leadership in a team first environment where talent isn’t the most valuable asset. Why his failures in Brooklyn(still up for debate), Boston, have come full circle due to his inability to realize he’s a better co-star then head honcho of a team. Kyrie won’t sacrifice his wants for the better of the team and basketball isn’t the most important value to kyrie at least in the past couple years. I think he has a new outlook and will improve this year due to the odds being stacked against him and realizing teams won’t mortgage the farm for individual talent anymore. Balance is everything folks the Golden State Warriors have automated this idea for years reason why they will continue to be successful and win championships.

I feel like Kyrie has been vilified in the media for a while now but this episode has given viewers fresh insight. Stephen A, Skip and Shannon had all better be watching this episode

That's BS Stephen A gives Kyrie his flowers all the time. This take is ignorant mate I'm sorry, that's super ignorant. All he says is Kyrie isn't available enough during the season. Shannon believes Kyrie and Bron are more compatible than Bron and Russ. All of you are exposing your ignorance.

This is beautiful. This is what bringing people together looks like. I’m a 39yo black male from inner city projects and Drew Barrymore is AMAZING. She’s so engaging and she wants to learn. And she wants Idris lol. This episode was special.

This is by far, the best episode on The Shop. It made so much sense that Lebron was not on it IMO. His presence alone would have derailed the light shone on Kyrie's story and the other guests. On personal note, this is the best episode because Kyrie & Drew's story and experiences speaks to what someone is currently going through and what I believe everyone will or might have gone through. I'm definitely watching this again.

Honestly as I keep lookin back at different episodes...it becomes apparent that it was Drew Barrymore who took the Drivers Seat and Kept the conversation flowing she became the host without even realizing it.... she set the tone and kept it in the pocket and encouraged openness..... No Episode will match this one....the Drew is Beautiful Human Being

This show is absolutely tops! It makes for the most interesting conversations. Spotlights a very diverse range of celebs/guests simultaneously from all different walks of life. Mav moderates these conversations so effortlessly; the transitions from topic to topic are seamless. And no man is ever left behind - all of the guests do well passing and sharing the ball. *Pun intended* I say this to say --- thank you for this!

@TheShop I never really watched this show but this episode really touched me!!! I saw Kyrie in a different light and Drew got me emotional over here. I hope Kyrie does more platforms like this and maybe even teams up with someone for his own Podcast. Drew Barrymore, I hope the same for you regarding a Podcast. You have so much depth in your heart that comes out Beautifully in your words that needs to be shared with the world. I loved every moment of these subjects and I def will be watching more!!!The Shop, You have a new fan in me! Well done.

Dayum. I read a comment saying they knew Drew was going to cry. I said huh, she’s gonna cry, cry for what? I know the conversation is getting deep, but cry for what. Then when the section came and she teared up, dayum, she had me crying. I was clapping along with the fellows.

At age 44, I've been a Drew Barrymore fan ever since E.T. and in all these years, because of her resilience, after learning her story, I never forgot about how her parents were towards her and me, going through my very own trials and tribulations, she was always inspiring. I had a crush on her first from watching E.T. and still do just from her very pure strength in her resiliency. 💪🏾😍🤩😍

I watched this show religiously over the past few years. Never falls short. Always robust with tangible, life applicable lessons. I've always loved the array of talent ranging from cinema to athletics, all bonding through commonality of wisdom gained through perseverance and resilience. But THIS EPISODE. Hands down the best one yet. Tipping the scale on both high IQ & EQ. It was palpable. This was elevated conversation that felt good for the soul. Thank you. Side note: I wouldn't be surprised if this yields an Emmy nomination.
