Amber Riley is one of the best live singers out there Her voice is so powerful and absolutely amazing She can sing any song And sound damn good singing it Her talented voice is so underrated She killed this performance With those amazing vocals Specially hitting that long as high note at 2:00 I think that was A5 note And her vocal runs are fantastic Specially at 2:15 This was a excellent performance by Amber Riley 🙏💯

My personal take, as far as execution, Grease was the best, then JCC, then the Wiz. My personal favorite was the Wiz, because it was awesome

I agree the Wiz is the best. JCC was great too (it’s one of my favs of all time), but as a collective all singers weren’t strong musically. Musically the Wiz has stronger performers. All the other live musicals can take a seat in the garbage can.

From the moment I first saw this live on television, I been entranced and in love with this number. After countless listens, props to the choir HAVE to be made. They’re ability to harmonize, smoothly go from highs to lows serves as a perfect support to Riley’s vocals. And (In my opinion) is, major part of why this song is so magical. It makes me want a version where I can completely focus on just the choir’s sound.

this was the first musical i saw and I immediately fell in love with everything. costumes, cast, singing, and sets. this musical truly sparked my love of musical theatre, I bought the cd, poster, and I even dressed up as Dorothy. years later I am in varsity theatre and i have plans to get small acting gigs once i get out of highschool. thank you for making this wonderful musical.

I can’t wait to see this Friday, I remember I saw the wiz in Dutch many years ago, and I love the movie with Diana Ross . I’ve read some comments about the whole cast having a darker coloured skin , I honestly didn’t knew that I just find it normal , as a white just like me I just don’t think we could hit that notes at all. I just see everyone as people the same as I. I don’t care what skin colour someone has Only wish the whole world saw that too.
