games 1, 2 and 3 (and the laning phase of game 4) were actually reminiscent of 2018 theshy - you know how hard it is to hit a peak like that? he curb stomped a top 3 top laner in a worlds semifinal - I'm legit mindblown WBG as a team deserved to win game 5, but they didn't deserve any out of the first 4 games - only top-jungle played those games, bot and mid left theshy completely in the rain 4 games straight - if it had been any other top laner (maybe except zeus) they just get 3-0'd clean here...what an insane performance in those first 3 games

A lot of mid elo league players understand the concepts of drafting hypothetically but are not up to date on pro meta/are not considering things like ap/ad spreads top and bot sides, push in bot, drafting for a predefined weakside/strongside within confines of meta picks and scaling for specific spots in game eg baron/3rd/4th drake (like myself). Caedral is really good at making this accessible, understandable and more fun to watch imo.

@@anamolthapa9663 I can only really speak for myself, but as an e2 player (I think its fair enough to call this mid elo if you are not being giga pretentious/gatekeepy) I struggle with weighing the positives I mentioned above correctly when combining them all into the best pick (along with team synergy and balance which I left out). In terms of actually applying this in soloq its a totally different story, wide champ pools and communication are non-existent (in high dia low masters+ I'm presuming your pick itself is the "communication" of how you want to play - eg picking Draven, I want to be strongsided.) There's also the fact that if you asked most players in this elo how they should draft around say a botlane that needs resources, they would be aware of what is best hypothetically but be very hesitant to facilitate the pick by going off otp/more carry orientated champ due to a lack of trust - 3/0 Draven @10 might be 90% wr with good team support from draft or other lanes going even masters+ but it still feels like a flip in my games. There are also ofc the pigs who don't have a clue, and I could well be coping considering I don't have much experience above my current elo.

the LPLs very own humanoid - if you watch theshy hugging coaches and teammates, flashing smiles in game, visibly animated and actively participating in draft discussions you wonder just who is that guy? he also openly admitted in interviews multiple times that he felt like he has been lacking motivation.. some players just perk up at worlds suddenly... that it's in Korea and he has a huge outpour of fan support might help as well, it might also help that he managed to actually make it to worlds with his team for the first time in 4 years - having accomplished something with that roster probably makes him trust his teammates more so he doesn't force as many plays feeling like he has to carry - his fight selection has improved tremendously if only xiaohu would play like regular season xiaohu again...

The counter pick side T1 succeeded in 4 consecutive red side wins bc they actually used red side as a means to counter pick (especially for their bot lane), while in this series the teams fail to do that (execution is another reason for red side losing but that another topic)
