Even though my husband and I have been married 39 years, I love new recipes. I now have 2 instant pots and it had simplified cooking so much. For the taco bowls I use a box of Spanish rice by Zatarans or Rice a Roni. It adds a lot of flavor!

These are great recipes! I love one-pot meals, and rice is a great filler. I live alone so I can make the base recipe and change it up with seasonings and add-ins.

Being an Asian family we eat a lot of rice. We make 6-7 dry cups per week for 3 people. If there’s any left over (which is barely ever) I like to portion them into individual portion sizes and freeze them. We use ziploc bags. We microwave them for about 2 minutes from frozen. Once the bag is empty we wash the bags and reuse them again for more portioned rice. It’s cheaper to make our own instant rice than paying $4 for instant rice in Hawaii

I'm really enjoying your videos. I recently discovered you, and I am really glad I did. Everything you made looked delicious, but I will definitely be trying the sausage "gumbo" like dish. I usually do mine with just bell pepper and onion, and sauté it up with the sausage and serve over rice. The tomatoes add a nice new flavor, that I cannot wait to try!

I've recently discovered black beans 😂 (don't know why I've not tried them sooner!!) so I think I am going to try the Taco Bowls recipe soon and I've got some flour tortilla that need using so it'll be perfect for those!👍 The minced beef and veggies sounds yummy too although I've got onions, bell peppers and mushrooms in my freezer so might use a combination of those as well as or instead of squash. Hi from South Louisiana. It’s not a gumbo. A gumbo uses roux and we boil everything. What you made was a sausage creole or sausage in a red gravy like we occasionally call it. 😊
