I agree totally, I enjoy and embrace the stillness of January. We relaxed the first couple of weeks in January after such a busy Fall and holiday season. We're working on indoor projects now but at a slow pace, no rush. It's freezing here in the Northeast so we have the rest of January and all of February to get it done before Spring when everything gets busy again. Enjoy the peaceful winter! ❤

I am just about 54 and for a huge part of my life I was a single mom of 3. I worked full time to take care of my kids and had very little time for my home. Now, I am happily married to my high-school sweetheart and I'm a stay at home wife and mom. I love cleaning, decorating and making my home a sanctuary for me and my family. Nicole, We live in a cold climate and just today I mentioned to my husband how things are so much slower and calmer in this season. Nothing going on as far as yard work, etc. Definitely a time to regroup. God bless your beautiful family.

Hi: After such so many assignments for Christmas holidays, it's time for us to sit and rest a little from all the tasks .and to enjoy a good time with our family. Yes, please. My husband and I were not empty nesters for 32 years of our first 34 years. We began teaching the kids to pick up their toys and help make their beds as toddlers. Then by the time they were in first grade, they were doing most of it, which was a great help and training for their adulthood. Just an elderly mom, watching how hard you were working…thanks for your wonderful videos.

I loved this! I have always enjoyed your channel with the thrifting and decorating. But this showed a little more of who you are and what is important to you. Hello, enjoying your video, and I totally get what you’re saying, I enjoy this season too, the slowing down, etc I’ve been enjoying doing the same, love it. We raised 3 sons too, when we got married it was blended family, my son was 2 my husbands sons were 2 and 3 12 yrs later welcomed a daughter. Now our sons are 43 43 44 daughter 28 10 grandchildren two great so far. Take care. See you soon.

This January has been very busy and stressful for me after a very busy and stressful holiday season. Next month is crazy too and then there’s March when the kids are home on spring break which is always chaotic. Maybe April will be better.🤷‍♀️
