I feel like sims 1 was the beginning, they just wanted everything to work. Sims 2 was the upgrade, their desire to really create and establish an franchise so a lot of thought was put into it. Sims 3, they had their franchise so it was the time to explore and try, which kinda overloaded the game at times, but the desire to go above and beyond was there (like we could literally go to the future and meet our descendants, like that shit is really a far fetchef step for the sims). Sims 4, they scale back and rely on the already established franchise to make an easy to play, less requiring game, to make as many people able to play as possible while also making more money for less content.

@@ViceCityExtra strong agree! the sims 1 was created as an “in depth” look to the families from sim city. so instead of controlling/creating the whole city, you explore the sims who live there. they did create a mostly-realistic life simulator. ive never played sim city but i would imagine it was also a mostly-realistic town builder

When I played with Moonlight Falls, I made a fairy who worked as a live-in servant for the the Van Goulds. Then I had her explore the town and find the hidden urn and a few other secrets. Adrian then married the fairy, and she encouraged Emily to runaway with the Wolff boy, which pissed Adrian off. He then locked the fairy in that secret room in the attic of the Van Gould mansion and used her as his blood supply ETA: forgot to add that Pip Goodfellow (think that's his name) died, so I moved his ghost into the household, and he and the fairy began an "affairy" and then Pip locked Adrian outside one day so Adrian died of sunlight before Pip and the fairy took over the Van Gould estate

I have a theory about the painter guy disappearance. You know how some simmers like to kidnap some townies and force them to paint while trapped in a basement and then sell their paintings? Maybe that's what happened to him. Especially if that house painting was never seen before until a year after he was gone? Maybe he's Peanut? And those cursed paintings were his way to warn people? Maybe when his kidnapper found out what was he doing and left him there with no food, only those beans knowing that this will kill him one day?

I like to give Peanut Bahl the Unlucky trait, for his missing 5th trait. Seems fitting, due to his story, and specifically, his death. I also like to think that Peanut Bahl, being a library ghost, is a similar to, and of, the Lady in Grey, previously featured in older Sims games.

I think it would make more sense if those were Bahl's in the photo and the Van Goulds took over their mansion after locking Peanut - perhaps the "last" Bahl - in the library's basement. Locking him in with only the magic jellybean tree for food, knowing that eventually he would die. It's not a memorial shrine but a trophy room

Peanut Ivy is a child in the towns Hippie-Family and if I remember it correctly, they live just behind the library. Pretty strange that 2 sims would have such an unusual name. Maybe there's a connection...

I think Peanut Bahl was a beggar/treasure hunter (from his mooch trait) and homeless. And he thought there is no one lived there so he Break in the underground rooms looking for treasures/something important. OR someone paid him to undiscover the place since it has secret door. Its common in some detective-theme novel/crime movies. But, unfortunately someone locked the secret door (we can do it if we want one of our sim in the household hide something). And my sim tried this to lock her own brother.

Then he died from jelly beans because he ate too much since henlocked inside the secret room. I also tried this to my sims, and one of them died after 3rd times eating. So maybe.... The owner of the room was still there... Haunting/hiding somewhere.

I paused the vid for a while and stared at the painting "The Visitors". I noticed that the woman looks very pale so there is a chance she is a vampire. What if the supernaturals found Moonlight Falls, but natives already lived there. The natives even though were scared were very friendly towards them. The painter painted a portrait of the "Storngest" family, probably the Van Goulds. But they killed him and took over the town. The painter could be Ayden Van Gould, who was a 47 year old painter that "messed with the wrong people". The couple seen with the intention to kill Ayden accidentally turned him into a vampire. He probably fell into a coma forgot all his skills, family,friends and name so he had to take the Van Gould last name and kept a random name as his first name. Theoretically when you get turned you die so (Creepy Warning) his soul hauntes the portrait he made before he died. When he woke up he saw the "new" Moonlight Falls (that the couple created with the help of the Wolff family) (When i say new i mean that it turned in a supernatural hide out of some kind)

I have a slightly more wholesome headcanon for Peanut. He was a family friend of the Van Goulds who tragically died young when he pulled the wrong jellybean from the tree, so they kept his remains in a hidden section of the library to honor him. As a ghost, Peanut spends most of his time reading and, if my witch sim were to offer to ressurect him, he would decline, insisting he's perfectly happy haunting the ever-so-peaceful library and spending his afterlife where he is. I also gave him the Bookworm trait to fill his missing slot.

I just rewatched this today again, because first time was while washing dishes, and since my favorite expansion world is Moonlight Falls, I just had to watch again❣ Ironically, in one of my early playthroughs, Peanut was one of the ghosts that was on my lot for the ghost challenge, and if I remember correctly, after making him playable, and he ate some ambrosia autonomously, I later took him to the elixir consignment shop, whereby he consumed a jellybean (autonomously), and once again met his demise ☠😈... Since the odds are so rare, I wonder if the Sims developers hardcoded it to be just that way? I fiendishly 😈 love that❣

I think the factory by pappy's house with the tractor reminds me of one of the sims games for gameboy. I think it's just called the Sims 2. You play in a desert town and you're a reality TV star but the town isn't supposed to know everything is tv but there's an area where a mini game is and the factory looks pretty much just like that and there is a tractor game pretty close by.

When i played in Hidden Springs i had my sim marry the Bahl criminal girl, and when i watched this video the first time i imidiatly changed their last names back to Bahl, and pretended in my story that the Bahls were a influencial family in sim nation history in general and in moonlight falls history in particular, so i got influencial friends in Hidden Springs (Vanderburgs and Bert Alto) and then moved to Moonlight Falls to take revenge on the Van Goulds and make the lives of the Wolffs and Van Goulds miserabel to prove that the human Bahls were the founding fathers.
