Hi Justin, enjoying working through your 30day journey. On D13 when I smooth the edges and coplanar some geometric line remain, must have missed a step somewhere

Hello! First of all -thanks for the awsome videos-! I am subscribed to your chanel and find each of them very useful. Just a quick one-after making the two circles do we need to put them in a grpup or component since I have noticed that when we try to make a component over another geometry it just does not seem to work. What i mean is that Sketchup allows me to make a component of each block after double clicking but then when i press on one of them they do not act as a component but like single edges... Please help! :)

Thanks for the video series. I have already learned heeps in a short time! One thing I am struggling with is (and has happened before) is making the face on the handle. When I make the two circles and try to connect them with the line tool I drawn the lines, connect them to end points on each but it won't fill in and give me a face? Any Suggestions? I worked around it by making a rectangle and moving the bottom points in but it leaves it sloppy with excess lines.

I found out what was the issue; the two circles were not on the same plane and that caused the lines not closing. I just modelled the handle separately, and placed to its place.

Am I missing something or is there an easier way to select the vertices? Initially it worked, but when I go back into the block to tweak, I can only seem to consistently grab a face or a line. The cursor will say endpoint, but it wants to move everything by what I expect.

hey justin, i keep seeing the horizontal lines on the stones, this after softening. Is there a reason for this?

None of my objects look solid, I see all of the dimensional features of the front and back of each object, as if they are opaque and not solid. What did I turn "on" to cause this effect? I have looked at all of my "view" options and looked into each object. I've smoothed out the stones as you've shone. I'm using SketchUp Pro 2022 (feels glitchy).

complete novice here. I get to the point i have created the three blocks and made them components. when I double click the first brick i can't get it to go into edit mode to modify the geometry. How do II get the brick into edit mode?
@santaclaus2883 Жыл бұрын
I had to make each into its own group first.
