They both have very different background stories and grew up in different cultures and households, this has led to them wanting to understand each other better, talk about their differences and love one another on a deeper, more intimate level. They’ve built a safe and empathetic communicational space, they’ve learned how to feel comfortable leaning on each other for support and/or help and their love for one another is also teaching them how to love themselves more.

She knows that her girlfriend is right, that she should love herself just a little bit more, but it's a feeling that's so hard to overcome. Literally the problems Blake is going through I am too in my relationship. And my partner tells me what Gina tells Blake. It’s a difficult road learning to love yourself but I know it’s rewarding but you never want it to bleed into the relationship especially with someone you love so deeply. A little bit felt like the Korean girl took every chance to talk about herself and I think it would do good for them if they can equal things out in this regard. But then again she has gone thorugh one of the most painful things a person goes through in their life so no judgmenet at all, it's good that she's an open communicator. Maybe I'm just projecting because, especially when you're hurting, you turn every conversation into one about you and your feelings and that puts a lot of the heavy lifting on your partner to be supportive - and I'm guilty of that and feel like it's something that was wrong in my case and wish I could've acted differently, get myself out of the "spotlight" to listen to what my partner is maybe going through. Again, absolutely no judgment on any one of them, they're beautiful and open people, their conversation is so touching and I root for them so hard - just random thoughts about the dynamic in general, *not* the perticular people, their story is way longer than a 20 minute video could ever capture.
