I felt so bad for the elder brother in this. Trying to make it right on all ends while hiding who he is from everyone he loves, meanwhile he has no idea his younger brother hates him. I was absolutely gutted when his mother gaslit him and called him disgusting when he was outed. I wanted to hug him the whole time.

Kapoor & Sons is one of the best Indian films out there. Amazingly written, directed, acted and scored film. Deserving of its Best Picture nomination. Another good film that is slightly underrated is “Ranghanaa” staring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor. You might want to give that a watch.

So basically the two sons did nothing wrong, the older son didn't know that the mom had stolen the story from the younger son, he couldn't come out to her because he knew what her reaction would be, and the younger son has always been the least favourite child because of how 'unsuccessful' he's been even though the mom knew that the story that made the older brother more successful was actually the younger brother's story. The dad cheated on his wife for a whole year and also has a favourite child. Defo parents of the year, these two. I feel bad for the older son as well because he now knows that his entire career's success is all down to his younger brother, I mean imagine having to deal with that thought.
