This film is full celebration of Indian Hindi cinema 🎥 😄. Also the dialogue is soo good. You guys should get a good subtitles and watch the dialogues again ❤❤

Here's a trivia for you. So this movie is a celebration of Bollywood. It's like an insider to how's what and what's being done and so on in the film industry. It's a mild parody so that all the audience gets it in a fun way along with family. There's a hint of parody and over the top nuances at the award ceremony scenes which were clverly put so that it's a laugh riot and surprise ❤️. At that time there wasn't any viral meme culture or marketting by Social Media so for most of the people it was a celebration at the Movie theatres. In the song Deewangi², there's 31 stars and overall if you include the cameos and all the total nos of actors and actresses who appeared here it's approx 40🔥🙌🏻. Aamir Khan couldn't be there as he was stuck in production work for other film. Few others couldn't be there for xyz reasons but the rest came and it was good❤️. Nobody in the junior artists and technical crew knew who's comim for shooting as the director didn't notify them for the enthusiasm and element of surprise and a good vibe to be continued at the shoot and it did🔥🙌🏻. One more fact is that for All the cameo appearance, SRK gifted all of them customised TAG Heuer s and other gifts🔥🙌🏻. Akshay Kumar is known for being punctual and reliable. He was helllllaaa busy at 2006 and 2007 timezone as he had around 10 films at this mere 20 to 22 months . All extremely hit movies. But he's so sweet, he said yes to SRK and did his shoot here early morning and guess what he didn't even charge a single penny. SRK too returned the favour and apperared in Akshay's movie Heyy Baby in a song free of cost🔥🙌🏻. Media houses for sellin stuffs adds waayyyy too much spices and creates rifts and controversy and this movie made all of them wasted and maximum common people who thought it's dirty at the top celebrated and to this day this songs are used at parties. It's not a perfect watch, but the aura is for ages and it's a forever movie for sure❤️🔥

Hi!!! The awards ceremony did take a bit of a ride on the Dhoom series and also on Shah Rukh Khan as well, as he literally reigned in the 1990s early 2000s era!!! So the reference is to his actual movies.......The real movie titles are 1. "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani" (Yet the Heart is Indian(literal)/Still the heart beats for India(the feeling😅)) and 2. Main Hoon Na (I am there, aren't I? (in the sense, don't worry, I'm here to handle everything)). As a parody, they renamed those as Phir Bhi Dil Hai NRI (replaced Indian with Non-Resident Indian) and changed the second title to "Main Bhi Hoon Na" = I am there, too! Also the way in which those parody clips shot; where the girl is running towards him in slo-mo, the Swiss backdrop, him wearing a turtleneck and scarf with his arms wide open is reference to "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge" (translating to "the true lover gets the girl/bride") and the "Ah ah Ah ah Ah aah" background music, is from "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (meaning "It's Something" or rather "Something Happens" (referring to the feeling of falling in love)) Both these movies are sort of a rite of passage for Bollywood movies, classics.....

Well it's only Om who is reincarnated not Shanti as her soul was trapped in the burnt set. Sandy was a mere doppelgänger. Hope you enjoyed the movie. There are many references and celebrities which you might not recognize. Maybe have a rewatch with Ben after a few months.
