Great ideas! I have 3 nano aquariums in the kitchen, because I spend a lot of time there also. I also have a plastic 'quarantine tank' that currently houses my platy babies. When they get older, they're going to the pet shop. But I love watching them grow...very therapeutic while doing the dishes. So I may get a 4th kitchen nano tank as a permanent nursery tank!

It's fun to make your own stand. I make mine for the 50 gal tanks, But where I live, I use the tree limbs for most stand legs and they are free. I cut the tenons, makes them sturdy. Cheap Easy.

When I got my Fluval tank I saw a video about the designated stand soaking up water, so mine is sitting on a nice oak TV cabinet. It's also low enough for me to be able to reach from my wheelchair for maintenance so that's a double bonus. 😊

I love this series! Thank you, Joanna 😊 I love the used solid furniture idea. Like your dresser with tanks. Tons of storage comes with a dresser like that. We all know us fishkeepers have a ton of stuff 🤔😁

Such a great series! ❤ My current tip that I’ve been working on - resisting the urge to/habit of changing water more often than is actually necessary, especially in my large tank where even a weekly 25% quickly adds up $$$ . I’ve been paying attention to my nitrates and realizing that, even after a few weeks, my nitrates rarely go above 10ppm with stocking and plants. Saving lots of water, time and $ by changing less water and less often. Thanks for yet another awesome video, Joanna! Hope you and your family are well!

Old pieces of furniture like a chest of drawers is brilliant. Old pieces are so solid and drawers can hold everything that is normally spread out everywhere. There she goes again with the gold ideas 🎉

I’m selling an older long TV stand simply because of space. Even though it was from Target, it’s a brute! If I had the space and money for another tank, I would keep it and turn it into a fish tank stand 😊Brilliant ideas, so glad you posted this video!

I bought 2-packs of beautiful and healthy “mutt guppies” from Michael’s Fish Room (not a plug). Now I have about 40-50+ beautiful guppies! Worth every penny pinched!

Walmart has a white plastic four shelf stand for like $25 ,I use it in two-two shelf units don’t put in the middle set of legs. Works for ten gallons and under little tight for a ten on the bottom shelf but smaller tanks work fine.

Once I bought an aquarium stand that was supposed to be wooden only for it to arrive and turn out to be cardboard.

Another way is to go on the store's website, it's always cheaper online and they will price match

Cheaper for furniture than all the options you mentioned: Facebook Marketplace. To populate your Marketplace, you need to join buy and sell groups. Cheaper than Amazon, AliExpress, but watch for exactly what’s being offered, and what the shipping price is on the specific item listing, shipping varies a lot. I have never paid import fees or duty. Yes, fish that will grow, as well as fish that will reproduce - both will cost you! I’m seeing people trying to get rid of “assorted endlers” and no replies. I think it might be better to invest in high end fancy guppies up front, you will be able to sell their kids for a profit. Finally, plan to sell your plant trimmings to your local hobbyists! Trade them for plant varieties you don’t have! Also, as a ps: If you run a fishless nano water garden, it can double as a daphnia culture. Probably not enough to feed a whole tank regularly, but enough to give your fish a treat from time to time, or to populate a new tank before adding fish. There may be other possible water garden live food cultures, but avoid scuds, they’re best kept with at least one predator.
