i'm admiring kasey a lot for this episode. i think it takes a lot of courage to actually go up to people whom may have walls up against her, and to actually apologise after knowing that her actions or tone may have made others uncomfortable. it says a lot about her as a person, as she noticed her actions or tone, and reflected on it. takes a lot to apologise too. and it's really nice of her to actually approach them and clear any misunderstandings, even though it seems that it may not have been reciprocated.

Based on what I’m seeing, Dione seems to be projecting her own insecurities onto Kasey. Dione and Dania need to stop enabling each other and gossiping about others behind their backs, then acting all "friendly" in front of them, saying "these small things don't bother me" 53:18 when they do. I believe Dione was the first to put down Gari within the girls' group in Ep 2 by literally saying "I'll cry if I have to go on a date with Gari", this pushed the girls' bias against Gari from the start and it accumulated. If they're doing the same thing to outcast Kasey, it'll be quite disappointing but not surprising. This doesn't mean any of their feelings are invalid. I feel like this show have really proven how judgemental and fake people can really be and how common it is around us. And that is the reason why a lot of people are afraid to be themselves around others, as they feel like they have to constantly try to please or impress others, not to get judged on, or even just to fit in, and that's really sad. Just look at how Kasey was getting judged for being herself in this episode. She did the right thing by distancing herself from the toxic girl group. Hang out with the guys don't have unnecessary drama, jealousy, or immaturity. i really expected more from the girls. i was rooting for each and every one of them, even if i didn't like them at first, because each episode revealed something likeable about their personalities. but now all of them just decide to gang up on kasey like they did with gari? i can empathise with dione because i'm also a jealous person myself. since she views kasey as her competition, even the smallest thing kasey does will rub her the wrong way. and that's fine - you're entitled to your own feelings, and emotions don't always have to be reasonable. what i don't like about it is how she doesn't have the self-awareness to admit that a significant part of why she doesn't like kasey stems from her own jealousy. what makes it even more unacceptable is how she frames kasey as the shitty person to the rest of the girls, when it's obvious that her prejudice has some part to play in it as well. what the commentators said about the way the girls interacted was spot on as well. i think you can tell that dione and dania are the more immature ones in the group because they make no effort to hide their distaste. i was so tense when i watched the garlic scene - kasey was doing her best to diffuse the situation, but they really weren't making things easy for her. i can understand why roz would feel uncomfortable by what kasey said, but at the same time, this is a DATING SHOW. no one's expected to have a fixed 'first choice' throughout the show, and i think it's unrealistic to expect others to treat this person as your 'property' once you've expressed interest in them (in the context of the show). what kasey said about sam may be 'unacceptable' in a real life situation, but in a dating show, i don't think it's out of place. she definitely doesn't deserve all the flak she's getting. also, about the brand deal thing - WHAT EVEN. i don't know how the other girls can buy into dione's bullshit.

Ok la I think the problem with Kasey is that she too pretty already. Imagine coming to a dating show but almost all the guys interested in 1 girl mostly. I think this episode is the most important out of all of it. It shows the most important thing for every person out there. We all need at least 1 friend. So ask yourself, do you have a friend you can call now and he/she will answer and listen to all your problems? If you don't maybe you really need to think deeply about your life and your actions... We cannot go through the problems of the world alone. Your friend could be your bf/gf/wife/husband/mum/dad/outside friends. But everyone needs at least 1 friend who they trust. So how do you know if u have a REAL friend? - Try sharing your problems with them. Are they there for you? - Try asking about their life and problems. Will you be there for them? - If they will be there for you and you will be there for them, than there is trust and loyalty. Most mental health issues stem from a single issue, we keep it all within ourselves. There are other means of ways to better understand ourselves / reduce the mental stress. But still the easiest is to just talk openly to a friend. If not just talk to GOD/Universe/A wall. The problems we keep within ourselves will multiply and eventually pull us down this rabbit hole / depression. I feel like though there may be some problematic behaviours sometimes, it’s important to remember that at the end of the day everyone is human and we can’t truly know or understand what others went through in their lives. The “truth booth” segment really told us that there are really a lot of factors that go into shaping the way a person is, and we should try to understand that sometimes problematic behaviours stem from a possibly traumatic or unstable childhood, or they may have experienced things that you haven’t, which has contributed to shaping them into who they are today. I’m not excusing problematic behaviour but this is something to consider before bashing someone so heavily without really knowing them or what they experienced.
