@@ghepardogts It is a bit intimidating to drive a car with such a light flywheel, especially when you are not used to it. It will go for redline and shift in a blink of an eye--but it will stall just as quickly if you use up all the available torque. There is zero cushion. Once you get in sync with the clutch slippage necessary, then it's all bliss from there...as long as you're not stuck in traffic.

@@cathalfolan8441 Mr. Farah used to drive crazy back in the day. You think he's going fast in the one takes, you should've seen him fishtail his own cars through the canyons that he knows like the back of his hand. I think he never recorded himself going 100% because he's a somewhat responsible person and he didn't want troubles with the law. Anyways what I'm saying is Zack used to film one takes, so he was in the car off-camera, and Farah used to drive even more crazy when the cameras turned off so if he took Zack with him that either means Zack lost his fear of crashing over time or he was always fearless or trusted Matts' driving skills. It's been a long time though I think these days they don't drive faster than what they show us because nowadays they've got things to lose and places to be.

FYI the 993 has a terrible turning radius by default (My C4 is ridiculously bad), I'm sure with the widened front it just magnifies it.
@thirdpedalnirvana3 жыл бұрын
I agree with Matt. If its a jack of all trades, sporty sedan, ok I understand why you need different suspension modes. But if a dedicated sports car, designed for real roads, has a sport setting, that either means they made a damper mode that is way underdamped and unusable for anything other than traffic, or it means (like it does in this one) that anything other than comfort is unusable. Adjustable dampers don’t adjust the spring rate, and every spring and corner load has a specific damping force which is correct. Adjusting the damping force to anything but this ideal (critically damped) setting is automatically a subpar suspension tuning. Dedicated sports cars should have the correct damping for the given springs and corner weights. And dedicated sports cars should be tuned to work on real roads. Anyone with 500k to spend on a GW 400R is probably going to own a dedicated track car before they buy track insurance for their custom built 993. Vehicles like this don’t have to fill multiple roles, they need to fill just one, very well.
