This is the video we have all been waiting for. A proper deep-dive into the creation and drive of the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer - Dynamics & Lightweighting Study.
Chris takes a walk around Singer's production facility in the UK, showcasing the total build process, from carbon-fibre shell to the finished article at the end of the production line.
As is traditional with any 'Chris Harris Drives' video, we then take the car for some sideways action around Llandow Circuit.

Agree 💯. I’ve only got a 997S w/ aerokit and a few little tweaks (numeric shifter, 991.2 GT3 steering wheel, and a few other little add ons to the suspension and engine). Singer being in LA sure takes advantage of applying hollywood artistry/attention to detail with real/hardcore engineering--as they use a number of fabrication firms here that also work in the live entertainment/SFX/theme park world (as I use them too from what I found). Surprised Chris doesn't have a pad in LA, those rolling hills and fields sure remind me of those in Solvang and Vandenberg sans the B-roads of course.Just beautiful and perfect for the car at hand.

This video brings back so much nostalgia for me! About 10 years ago my friend introduced me about this sick Porsche he saw at the auto show and i looked up on KZbin and I fell in love with how beautifully reimagined this porsche is. I wanted to hear the engine roaring but there wasn't any yet on KZbin. Couple months later, I finnally found a video of original Singer being driven on the road and it was you! Chris Harris driving the original singer on the California coast and i fell in love with it even more. 10 years later I'm still here on the other side of screen watching "porn" Chris Harris driving Singer with beautiful roar of engine. Thank you so much Chris.

If you want to encapsulate the essence of driving it is the "heel and toe" at 8.44-8.50. If you don't understand that then you are not a driver. Starting at 25 years old I drove Ferraris for 24 years and 264,000 glorious miles (trouble free miles too actually, drive them hard and they treat you right) but when they replaced that gorgeous open gate with a computer controlled flapper change designed to flatter people who do not need to have any skill at all, I walked away. Good on Singer and the team for providing what the rest of the automotive industry has turned its back on. Emotion.

Chris Harris' first Singer drive video is still one of my favourite videos of his. Then he did the big in-dpeth interview with Rob Dickinson, which is still really interesting. I didn't know Chris was involved with the development of this drop dead, top of the line, all out, give it everything Singer 911. But it really does make sense. Everything about this work of art is exquisite, but the idea of a functional, air cooled, 24 valve motor is very, very impressive. Fantastic work. Oh, and fook me. That sound.

The car is super amazing and exactly what I wanted after having four 80's Porsches in the 80's and 90's. The challenge is the price which in my opinion is astronomical. In the 80s and well into the 90s, you could buy nice Porsches for relatively little money. The 70s Porsches were cheap in the 80s and the 80s Porsches were cheap in the 90s. Today, all Porsches are expensive and many who would like to have such a car and have the knowledge cannot afford it. It's a pitty, but oh my, it's satisfying to see Chris Harris enjoying this amazingly beautiful air-cooled 911.

I like and probably even _love_ quite a bunch of cars and dream about owning this and that (reality: I drive a '97 C280 Estate), but the Singer 911 is the only car on earth that I truly adore, especially as someone who is generally deeply touched by aesthetics and quality craftsmanship etc. Very much looking forward to the next 20 minutes. Edit: beautiful video, amazing car and so cool to see that it was shot where I've actually been myself some three weeks ago while on my little 5-week-roadtrip around the UK, coming from Germany. If I ever win the lottery, I _will_ go mental and order a Singer, and I will love, drive and keep this car until my very last breath. Works of art! Fuck yeah!

This is what happens when technology and talent greatly combine with the ultimate ingredient, which is love. You can see how everyone involved loves this project. And since it came from the heart, all of it exudes something special. I have just finished the video and am still contentedly grinning. Well done, everybody. I really do wish I can at least see one live one day, let alone be in one!

I’ve been waiting for Chris’s review of this engineering beauty, thanks for the stunning filming and editing Neil. Any coincidence it’s the same colour as your “reimagined by Chris” 911 from a few years (decades) ago?

LFA and CGT in my top 3 list of sounding cars. Hell, do you know another car that an instrument company (Yamaha) tuned the exhaust for harmonics? Cause I don't know

No doubt those two are amazing sounding cars, but they’re more about exhaust sound. This is much more about mechanical intake noise. Both great, but different. This seems more about the visceral sounds while driving and hearing the car breathe.

I’ll never be able to afford a DLS, but I can visit the B4518, cheers Chris 👍🏽 Re. The DLS, I can’t think of a better car to celebrate the internal combustion engine. The vision, specification and detail are perfect for me. Wouldn’t say no to a Spyder version…
