The McLaren 720S Spider is the drop-top version of the brain-melting supercar. Making a claimed 710 HP, but really much more, and with a new, electrochromic glass roof that retracts in just 11 seconsds, the 720S may be the most versatile mid-engined car on the market today.

Wouldn't you miss the hollow door design above our head when you open the door? You know the curve in structure design? I don't know what it's called. How about the luggage space behind you? Do you find that you put nothing there ever? Is the visibility really worse than the spider? Looking to buy one new next year.

Stuff you don't even realise at the time. The buttresses on my sw20 MR2 were glass too. Also the removable glass roof in my GT was amazing at giving it a roomy feel even with the room on. MR2s were amazing cars to own.

Wheels would look sharp beside the teddy bear ronals in the 90s car mag ads. The rear end looked like it got rear ended in the walk around. The blue is beautiful, ruined by the cavernous headlights and over useage of Black all over the car. This car looks best in a black or dark grey to me*. Great review 👌

The Performante Spyder weighs 3322lbs...so it's only about 90lb heavier, not 500. An extra 500 pounds on top of the Mac would put it more on par with a Mustang GT....and almost 700lbs heavier than the Performante coupe ;)
