Some advice from a Evo 7 owner, I had to sell my car due to rust in the floor pan, I didn't look under the car when I bought it and a year later holes started to appear. The rust was so bad I had to sell it for way less then what I bought it for. It was a shame since the motor only had 100K on it, Couldn't afford to keep it.

Damn those Canadians getting the 15 year old cars with 0 issues... My personal favorite EVO looks wise is the 5, but no matter what the generation it is an ICON! I can't imagine driving on the other side of the car though. Never have had someone with a RHD approach me for a review. It would be interesting for sure. Taking it around a parking lot to re-calibrate your brain is probably a necessity. This looks like so much fun though, not insane horsepower but very usable everywhere. And the fact the owner drove it to Cali from Canada makes it that much more impressive and a testament that he put it together very nicely.

I had the Bridgestone RE003 version - they were good in the dry, not terrible in the wet - only lasted me 18,000km so pretty disappointing given they are marketed as a fairly high end tyre here. Have switched to Michelin PS4's now - far better tyre, well worth the extra money - 10,000km mark now and looking better than the RE003's were at 5000.

Literally the same thing as an 8 just has an uglier front and wing. But I guess it might look cool to you since it will be different to all the 8/9 out in the USA. But ya have fun with the prices of them once they are us e Legal. R32 gtr use to be $10k in Canada now they are $25k+ in the usa so I'm assuming a $15k Evo 7 will follow suit and be a hell of a lot more once it's USA legal. That's why I'm holding on to my Evo 6. I'm sure it will be worth twice what I paid for it once it's USA legal.

bought mine last year, i even have the ultra rare ralliart cluster worth 3k. keeping mine for the same reason everyone wants all the jdm bits. btw its not the same, the trans has different gear ratios, 7 comes stock with SAS attachments, everything is power (locks windows etc.), stock AYC, USA didnt get til 8MR model or evo 9 models, i agree with you, keep the 6 until its legal for USA there are a few 6's in my area for sale for 6-7k CAD only thing when buying an evo that concerns me is the trans its usually the first thing to go in almost all evo's i just got mine done this summer by English Racing in Portland, OR

What is this Queef rear end you speak of?
@EVOFans6 жыл бұрын
Zain JDM Evo have active rear differential which can torque vector between left and right axle since EVO 4/late 1996 for GSR variant. USDM get mechanical 1.5 way rear differential for all Evo 8/9 which is same as RS variant for JDM. However, it is stacked incorrectly from factory to reduce the locking action. To take full advantage of it, you would have to open it to and rearrange the plates in correct order.

@MrTmenzo6 жыл бұрын
Deric' Anslum wrong again. What you're trying to do is turn a blind eye on what really goes on. If you'd like, there's plenty of videos on youtube that shows how most animals are skinned alive for their skins/fur. Crocodiles having a metal rod stabbed thru their spine and since they're cold blodded, die a slow painful death. No such thing ad ethical slaughter pal. And animal agriculture is certainly not a "food chain". We artificially impregnate animals and slaughter them over and over. A "real" food chain is out there in the wild where you hunt your food such as lions or other predators do. Good day.

@TheSmokingTire6 жыл бұрын
Cops who want to catch speeders would find their time much better spent sitting on the side of the highway with their radar guns lazily left on. They can write 81 in a 70's all day long, rather than sit on the side of an empty canyon road with no cell service or reception on the off chance I might come by.
@jonathonahn82796 жыл бұрын
There’s a fairly large community of people who do these here for fun in Southern California, so I can’t imagine they’d start pulling over every last one of us. So I guess it’s like how having a modified car is technically illegal but unless you’re doing stupid shit like crossing yellows they aren’t going to respond to it.
@brandondeel35676 жыл бұрын
Jonathon Ahn well shit, I'm living in the wrong place! I'd love to have some canyons to drive whenever I wanted to but I live in Florida and it's completely flat here:/
@Rlyeh_The_Dead6 жыл бұрын
Short answer is it's illegal. However I'm sure the cops have better things to do. Besides, if the car crowd is just using a mostly empty canyon and having fun without hurting anyone, that means maybe they won't feel the need as much to do it in populated areas. It's a win-win!
